Have You Put Up You Christmas Tree Already?

We Filipinos are known to celebrate the Christmas holidays longer than other countries. Some households even put up their tree and decor as early as September or October. But with the recent typhoons and calamities, I noticed that very few people have set up their Christmas decorations already. Unlike the previous year. I don't put up decorations until December, but already have a plan/motif in mind. How about you? Have you decorated your house already for Christmas?

yes, we have set up a small christmas tree already right above our little ref. we put it above coz my children keep on geeting the christmas decoration on it. christmas is fast approching.. and with all the calamities that our fellow filipinos encounter, we still capable of celebrating the birth of the child Jesus. Merry Christmas to all!

I put up Christmas tree last month and so as the Christmas decoration. It's so nice looking at the tree after the long hard days of work. It gives a soothing feeling that the time of joy of everyone is coming. Of course for some who gone through hell may feel it just like the normal days, but i still believe deep in their hearts--there is still a longing of celebrating Christmas. Two boxes of Christmas lights surround my tree and it looks really good. I'll be putting more perhaps next week after getting my pay LOL.

No decors in our house either. It was like two years ago when we stopped putting decorations in our house. I think we are too old for Christmas and we are too lazy to put decorations and remove them after December. All we do now is to look at other houses Christmas trees in TV. haha.

Christmas is my favorite season of the year.I want to celebrate it as early as possible and end it as long as possible.I usually start decorating our house as early as October and take out the decors around February the following year.

It's now about 10pm on Nov. 6 and I'm dying to get the Christmas tree up before my husband gets home from work. He knows I love Christmas, and doesn't mind me decorating early. I think it's growing on him.. the warm glow of the Christmas lights and the fireplace during the winter... It's really early, but I frankly don't care. I love Christmas and want it to last as long as it can! :)

My Christmas tree is a fake one, and it pretty much stays up all year round. I never take it down.

Not yet. We just celebrated Halloween in a big way with lots of decorations and a Halloween party so we are taking a deep breathe before we get everything taken down from that. Now we need to turn our attention over to Christmas decorating though we won't actually put anything up until Thanksgiving.

Hi anne, I asked my sister to put our lanterns and Christmas tree at home but she doesn't feel like doing it. Haha. I would love to have our Christmas light on (we usually put it on our second floor and on windows and balcony) and see how it glows at night but the weather seems to be a hindrance for us to do it. I just hope we'll have a good weather in the next days to come. Advance Merry Christmas anne!

Well, when I was a student,we cellebrated Christmas every year. However, after I started working,Christmas is far away from me. But I can still feel that exciting day when I'm out of house. Many shops and companies will gather together on that day. You know Chinsese just accept this festival recent years.~

We haven't put yet a Christmas tree in our home. We usually spend Christmas even without a Christmas tree because for us the true spirit of Christmas remains in our heart. How we spend this memorable day counted more than the decorations we put up in our own houses. I think planning for the upcoming holiday should start by now, for you to make it as memorable as before.Spending Christmas with your loved- ones is as fulfilling as any material things that you can receive on this day. I hope my dad can make it up to us on this special day.. I miss you Dad...

Our apartment is too small for an actual Christmas tree, so I'm making a miniature one. I have, in fact, started decorating for Christmas though. There are wreaths on the doors, some candles, Christmas themed tablecloths, place mats, runners, etc. I still haven't made up my mind about lights, but, what the hey, I'll probably put some up too.

First we have our own national Christmas-like holiday, it's called Sinterklaas. It happens to be that the Americans stole the idea from us Dutchies, I am proud of it but I still believe Sinterklaas is more fun, there's always a series of fun programs for kids on the television, christmas however feels a bit milked out, movies are always the same with elves or drunk Santas

We haven't put up any Christmas decorations yet. We normally put them up after Thanksgiving here. We have to go out and buy another Christmas tree though, because we threw our old one away. So we will be buying Christmas decorations as well. Which will be alot of fun. I guess I could understand why some people in your area would not want to put up Christmas decorations just yet. Especially with all that is going on. They don't want their decorations to be ruined.

Yes, I did it even before All Souls' Day. Everything is ready, from Christmas tree to gifts, wall decor, hanging decors outside and table decors.

Hi anne25penn, No but hoping to put up the tree at least by the first of December which is the first day of advent. By the way here in Spain Christmas starts about the 24th December and lasts till the Sixth of January the end of Epiphany here they celebrate the arrival of the Three Kings but they also celebrate Father Christmas too just in case. Great Britain has the best Christmas for me but I make it my Christmas too and I tone down the homesickness bit way down lol. Here last year in this zone I live in I only counted two Christmas trees apart from ours up and decorated. They are not very Christmassy people in that sense.
