If you're the boss, and one day you find your employee is playing computer game, what will you do to him?CRITICIZE?BE ANGRY AND FIRE HIM? What will you do if 2/3 employees play computer games during working time? On the other side,if you're just emplyee, have you ever played games in office??How about your coworker?

The place you work out you have a policy concerning workers playing computer games. A good way to get fired in a lot of places is to play games or go on the Internet. That computer belongs to the company and is supposed to be used for working. A lot of places monitor computer use and fire abusing employees.

I laughed because your question pertains to what I am doing right now. I work at an answering service. So most of my night is spent waiting for the phone to ring, for people to call me. So it is not always busy. My immediate boss knows. _ am not 100% sure the owners know- but I suspect they do. What's really important is that my time here helps keep me awake so I do not get bored an fall asleep and miss any important calls.. At least that will be my reasoning if I am ever questioned, LOL.

I am neither a boss or an employee of a place where I could get in trouble for playing video games. IF I were the boss I would be very disappointed and give them a warning first, then after their second offense I would "write them up" after that they would be fired! Now I have never been in an office job where I could play games, though I am sure there is some way for the boss to find out you've been playing games, so I would never do that if I were to ever get a job like that, of which I doubt... I don't like office work.

I would be a cool boss if I was cone I would say thats fine if you are doing our job or have done your job because it can get so boring at places of employment sometimes I would completely understand.I wouldnt fire no one jobs are really boring these days.I used to play games on line at work but we were allowed too.too bad they closed down in September.

I have to say I used to play games on my work computer sometimes. There would be a lull in calls in to the company and after I had done all my paperwork I would be sat twiddling my thumbs waiting for something to do. I hate being bored and playing games kept my mind active whilst waiting for the next call. As long as it doesn't interfere with work I don't see a problem with it.

I think I would. I know numerous people that are actually doing it right now. They say it helps to pass the time or ease the stress.

Here in the Philippines, I think everybody who's surfing the net are addicted in facebook. There are so many game application you can do. If you're working at home, I think it's okay to work at the same time play at idle time. But you really need to prioritize your work. If you're working in a company I think you should be disciplined not to play games and work at the same time. Because if you do, and caught, you might lose your job. It is hard to find a job nowadays. Have a nice day!

If I'm a boss and I find my employee is playing game during work time, may be I'll ask to them "Did you finish your job ?". I'm not angry because I know may they are stress or finish their job. That's why I ask them first. If I know that they didn't finished it, May be I will give them a warning letter. In other side, I'm an employee and if I play game on mye computer, I will not let my bos know it.
