Hi friends, Are you interested in reading tamil novels. If so ,who's your favourite author. I have read many historical novels in tamil. I like the author sandilyan very much , and also kalki. I also read ramanichandran novels. Why don't u share the favourite author in tamil language.

Unfortunately, I've never read any Tamil literature. (OK, a long long time ago I read Thirukural which was wonderful! But that's getting very classical, isn't it?) Do you know if any Tamil authors' works are available in English translation? I did searches on Amazon.com for Sandilyan and Ramanichandran, but didn't find any novels by them.

Hi echomonter, Thank you for your response. Tamil literature Thiurkural is not a novel. You cannot read it just like that. We can understand the meaning the Thirukural if you have any explanation content with you. I think sandilyan and ramanichandran novels are not translated in english. You can read those novels only in tamil. If you can read tamil well , then you can go for those novels. Sandilyan novels are historical based. Ramani chandran novels will be basically like Mills and Boon in english.

I rarely read Tamil novels because i was not interested in them but my grandfatherfather does, his favorite is Sandhilyan too. I often see him reading novels and telling us the moral values in them

Hi apples24, Thank you for your response. Nowadays reading habit is greatly reduced because of the computers and mechanical life. The historical novels in tamil will be very interesting. You can better get the book from your grandfather and read those books. By the way , i'm not the age of a grandparent. I'm just nearing 28 and it's like these books can be read by any group of people at any time.
