I started going to a new church in June. It's an Apostolic Pentecostal church. Now, I was raised in a "Pentecostal" church my whole life, or so I thought. The two churches are way different. For one, I no longer wear pants or shorts or anything. It's skirts all the time. No make-up. No jewelry. Etc. I'm not complaining because I feel like this is the best decision I've ever made. I was filled with the holy ghost within 3 weeks and baptised the following week. I gained a whole new family that knows my past and doesn't care. I gained new friends who are the same way. I gained one friend in particular who means everything to me and is my best friend. My music is being used for something more than myself. Everything for me has changed drastically in the last 5 months. Don't get me wrong, there have definitely been some struggles but I know now that it's just the devil trying to win me back. Because of the choice I made, my life is going up. Anybody else have a life changing Testimony?

Congratulations on your new faith! There is no problem in your choice to not wear makeup, jewelry, or pants. But please understand that we have a freedom in Christ to do these things (Galatians 5). "One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God." - Romans 14:5-7 Whatever you do, do it for the glory of the Lord. If you feel that it would not be good for you to not wear those things, then that may be best for you. Please do not abstain because anyone told you to. The Lord knows what is best for you and he will tell some to stay away from things and others not to. Stay in the Word daily and allow God to speak to you conerning what is best for you.
