Yes that is right Ex president "Erap" donated half of his talent fee from his movie to "bantay bata". It was in the news last night. He even made a speech saying "I Joseph, will be donating half of my talent fee to "Bantay Bata"... Why does he needs to announce that??? Well, okay what he did is good, but does he need to broadcast it? I mean, if it is not for his political career sake, he doesn't need to tell the whole Philippines about his good deed. What do you think about those politicians who do good to others and announce it in public? With all the cameras in front of them while giving those donations... I think it is just for show or "gimik"... It is good that many will be helped but I just hate the way those people do that particularly politicians...

Well, it is what it is. We all know why he's doing stuff like that. Good for the beneficiaries but i pity the bandwagon masses who vote for whoever is popular or whoever they show on tv. If he wasn't running for presidency again, would he even think of doing that? Can he not donate without making it a big news story? It is an act of promoting himself and making himself look good to the poor masses. I hope Filipinos would be more careful in choosing our next President because we really need a good leader right now. I don't trust politicians who broadcast their good deeds.

i think those who will vote are the ones who are loyal to estrada and not those who think he's popular. and the fact that he supported jueteng as he admitted that during the forum with other presidential candidates, that gives him lower chance to win.

Tokouchi I don't also think that he will do that if he doesn't have hidden agenda. If that help is really genuine, he doesn't need to announce it. It is the simplest yet very obvious way of promoting himself!

I saw it on TV and it's good that he shared his blessings whatever is his motives at least we are sure where that money came from-- his talent fee from Tanging Pamilya not from @#$%!!! anywhere... Thanks Erap. Our pinoy kids will benefit a lot from your donation.

Ok. god bless his heart for his generosity--'though the reason for doing so might be politically-motivated.

I applaud Joseph Estrada for donating half of his talent fee to the Bantay Bata foundation. It is a big money already and I'm sure it will be a big help for those children who badly needed support. I really admired those people who give something to the poor especially to the kids by money or food donation. Regarding about the news or proclaiming his donation in front of the TV cameras for all the people to see it might be some kind of a show off but honestly I really don't care much. As long that they donated something to the foundation I already consider that good deed already.

Well yeah. you are correct there. I just wish that his intention is really true and geniune... But regardless of the motive his act is good. And surely many kids will benefit from it. And that is the good fruit there... Even if it just for show, he did help those needy kids... Anyways, he lost this election...

hello again, I believe this is just pure political agenda because Estrada is trying to win points from the people since he has little chance of winning the Elections so he's using his own gimmicks too. anything that would convince people to vote for him. Estrada really does need points just to stand against the newbie Presidential candidates

Estrada is doing his old tactics again. He always does that to get the attention and sympathy of the people. I hope this time, it won't work.

Yes I agree with you. It's merely just a show for his political career in order to gain more votes for the coming elections.Politicians always do things with personal interest behind it.If you really want to help people there's no need to tell everyone about it. What more if there are cameras and spotlights in front of you while doing it. You really can't trust policians but on the other hand, even if there's a hidden agenda behind it, many people will surely benefit from that donation.

I am really irritated on him and to other politicians too who are doing those kinds of gimmiks. Well anyway, at least somebody else benefited from it, but I do hope that people will not fall for his tactics!
