In years past we always went to a friends house but this year we all decided to have it at my home. I'm very excited about this as I love entertaining and am always the one who does the Christmas Eve party and Christmas dinner. I always decorate for the fall season but this will be the first year anyone will be here to see the decor. About 20 people will be coming, so I surely have work ahead of me. Can't wait! Where are you going this year. Do you host turkey day or do you prefer to let someone else? If you do host how many do you have coming and have you started the preparations yet, grocery list, decorating? Happy turkey day to all and don't forget to go around the table and mention some things you are all thankful for. It's a very nice tradition to have.

I'm sorry to hear that. I wish you luck and hopefully everyone will remember that it is a day to give thanks and remember our blessings. Maybe you could have everyone around the table say one thing they are thankful for. Perhaps this will remind them how lucky they are to be able to be with their family and for one day at least the drama going on will rest.

Last year we had the family Thanksgiving at our house. This year we will return to my parent's. I now have a newborn and it just seemed like a bit much to embark on.

We always have Thanksgiving at our house every year, that is my holiday to cook for so I don't have to do any of the Christmas cooking. We will have about 7 other people besides my family so we have a nice group of 12 for dinner. I usually just put on a nice tablecloth and light a few candles for decor because the food and plates and everything take up most of the table. I have not done a lot of the shopping yet, I usually wait till the stores start having all of the sales and then I see which ones are offering the best deals so I usually don't shop until the week before Thanksgiving. I have cooked Thanksgiving for so many years now I can do it with my eyes closed, I usually change one side dish every year but everything else is pretty much the same from year to year.

I am going to my mother in laws for Thanksgiving dinner and to have my daughters birthday party to. Now on Christmas Eve I go to my mothers house we do this every year we never break it. But I like to bake and cook to at home. I still always buy my turkey and other things to have our very own family dinner at home. I always say something I am thankful for. You have a great Thanksgiving Day.

I am not sure yet what we are doing for Thanksgiving. I am sure all 3 of my kids will be working on Thanksgiving. So, we are planning on eating later in the late afternoon. We usually have it with my sister and her family and take turns. But, it is easier for us to have Thanksgiving since my kids works.
