It's always a good feeling when you get to meet a new friend. Culture clash, cultural indifference, language barrier, racism---these wouldn't matter if the ethos of friendship is within us. This will be mutual, for sure. Who knows, we could have a grand, multi-national get-together in the future. LOL. That would be exciting. Who's with me?

I am totally with you! I really love making new friends. Like you said, it will be mutual. There're many things we can share: languages, cultures, opinions, and of course, friendship itself. =) This really is awesome!

Hello astameva. So, where do we start? Do you believe in the famous saying that Friendship is a great investment. We must invest now, guys. LOL. Stay happy.

You're right. What would you say about good investment in friendship, anyway?

I would rather not make friends with people online that I plan to meet in real life. The thing is the Internet is a game and that is it. We are all players and we all get to decide exactly who we want to be. We can either be who we are in real life, tweak a few things to make ourselves look better, or we can be someone completely new. For this reason I don't take what people say at face value and its the exact reason behind many kidnappings, rapes, etc. that take place.

Hello. Internet or Social networking to be specific is just one way to gain friends. However, absolutely it is far better in a personal backdrop. You know, when you don't try to camouflage your weaknesses and flaws... simply because there's no point in hiding. You are what you are. That's why, the closest endeavor we've got is our family... (and all the people that's proximate to us). God bless.

Hi, Jabrica, I'm with you! It sounds crazy and ... wonderful! Like you said, no one knows what will happen once we meet in real life! Different looks, different cultures, different languages, etc...But I think respect, sincerity and friendship itself make everything fine!

I like making new friends too ^_^. I have some really good friends in real life but seldom making friends online or making foreign friends. Sometimes I just can't help concerning about that. Would it be safe? How to deal with the culture shock? etc. These questions do exist in reality. I try to persuade myself not to be too cautiou. Don't laugh at me. Anyway,I still believe I can make good friend online or with someone outside my country because I believe there's something common in human nature. As long as we are sincere and honest we can do it. So I here with you~
