Yes i do have a personal bank account and a piggy bank. I love to save. Any extra money i saved for my transportation, food, etc. i put it in my piggy bank. If i will not do this there will be no savings for me everything will be spent and one day i will be surprised that i don't have anything for me...for my family.

hello neeli, I used to have a personal back account,or a passbook but unfortunately i can't keep providing the balance for that account so i just withdraw it. i thought it was a wrong decision until i actually saw my moms own passbook account loosing a lot of money due to unending surge of 4$ interest or fee. for now, i have eon account which doesn't have interest because it can accept international transactions

Hi there neelimaravi! I always have a personal account. Way back when I was a child and until now. My mom thought us the importance of saving money, and it is always safe to save it in a bank... temptations in spending it is somewhat avoided for we need to go to banks or atms to withdraw money...

Yup neelimaravil! That is very effective if you want to control your expending habit, you might consider that. When you have the money in your hand, chances are when your see something that got your attention without a second thought you will end up buying it. On the other hand, when you need to go the bank first, that will give you more time to decide if you really do need that thing or not.

hi. i have one savings account. this one is actually my personal account but when our office use online crediting of our salary, they asked us to open a salary savings account. but i did not open another account because it was in the same bank so i just gave them my account number. every 15 days or so, our salary gets into the bank so we don't have to wait for the check to arrive, which usually takes a little late. we just have to check via phone with the computerized inquiry system if the salary already got in. then we just go to the machine to withdraw money.

Yes, I have a checking and savings account at the credit union right near my house. I never do anything with the savings account though. I use my checking account only, and the bank also gave me a MasterCard debit/credit card. My checking account balance is in the negative right now.

My husband and I share one checking account, although I do have my own very small savings account that I haven't touched for several years. The reason that we decided to have just one checking account is that when we are both on the exact same page with the money, I feel like our relationship runs much more smoothly than if we were running two separate checking accounts and doing things as we wanted with each of our money. I also know people that have separate bank accounts and in my experience, those couples seem to fight more and argue more about money.

I have my own bank account. Actually, I have quite a few accounts in different currencies and in different banks because of interest rates and ease of transferring cash here and there. I think it's essential these days to have your own account. It's good that you have opened one for your kids already. I update my account to keep track of my earnings regularly.
