I have a friendwho has been in the Army for 18 years and put her retirement papers in this August. Now they are telling her they "lost" the paperwork! To make matters worse she'll probaly end up being shipped out to Afganastan with her reserve unit in the near furure! She is not happy and is trying to fight it! She is alsojor in the Army. She has a husband and daughter who is less then 2 years old! My friend doesn't want to leave her! I hope the Army reconsiders! No one should be forced to stay in the Army if they don't want to!

I take it your friend is dealing with the Veteran's Administration? She needs to get in touch with an advocate and also contact the Chief of Veterans Affairs at her regional V.A. office. There should be paperwork she can file to stop her deployment.

This doesn't surprise me about the military, they have a way of doing what they want , and they can cover it up! I had a friend, that was deployed to Germany with me, and the whole 6 mos. we were there, he didn't get any pay, and neither did his family! They said they lost or couldn't find his paperwork! Between a bunch of about 10 of us, we made sure that he got some money to spend while we were over there!

I know the military will and does pull crap! I have not known anyone who had no much trouble with them until now! It very nice of you and your friends were able to help out your other friend and his family thanks to our so called military!
