Hello People, Is there a truth that people with left hand writing are clever than people with right hand writing? I really want to know this. I have a niece and she by birth is a lefthander and she is clever than his brother. But she was advised to write in right hand. I often told my brother to leave it as such. But he wants her daughter to be a righthander. So now she is writing in right hand even though she is left handed person. What do you think of the persons who are lefthanders? Are they really clever? Do you have anyone in your family with left hand writing? Please share your thoughts... Cheers,.... Have a nice day always....

I dont believe being left or right handed has anything to do with how intellegent you are. I dont believe that a parent should force a left handed child to write with their right hand either. I remember when i was going to school a friend of mine could write with left and right hand.

Hi jdyrj777, Really I do agree with you. I too have researched it but even though there were no scientific reasons that lefthanders are clever, they are more logical. Thanks for your response... Have a nice day always...Cheers..

may be this thing may be an exception still if it is beleived may be that gal may have some extra activity in brain but basically it belongs to the grooming of an individual; if an indiidual is not groomed properly then he will go dumbo rather then being active to respond like other ones

Hi Kush, Yes.. What you have said may be true. But most of them can be noted for their peculiar activity like music, painting etc. I hope these are not to be groomed from the beginning. If they are skilled in their brain they don't need lessons I hope... Cheers and Thanks for responding... Have a nice day..

but tell me it never happens that right handed are not gifted all of us are gifted the difference is how fast we recognise that in which field we are best in sooner we realise it faster we get into acheiving the top the gr8 knw what they have to do and have true measure of their capability they never doubt themselves

What you have said is true. Lefthanders or righthanders both are humans who can achieve the top if properly planned and work hard to reach the top. Cheers

phillip__shiny I have never seen any really definitive studies done on that so I think that is just some people's idea but I feel that nobody shoud force a left handed person to be right handed. if they are born that way leave them alone. it does more harn than good to force a child to change from a lefty to a right handed person.

Hi Hartley, What you have said is true. But people never hear this when it comes to "what others think" concept. So, I left my bro and niece what they wish.. Thanks for responding... Cheers... Have a nice day always...

I belong to the majority group. Your brother should leave his daughter to develop on her own. Do not force her. If he wants he can train to her to be dexterous with both hands.I don't believe that left-handers are cleverer then right-handers.There maybe some left-handers who shine in hand sports. There are also many unknown left-handers who are failures whom there are no statistics available.

You are right in this respect. It may be related in left and right brain. Any one who can tap and utilise the right and left brain can achieve in any discipline.

Hi JamesKYTan, Nice to have your views here. It is better to develop the writing with both hands. I think that lefthanders may be skilled in some aspect or in a particular skill. The reason why most of them were unknown are they don't realize the skill in them I hope. I researched and found this link can get more into this left brain and right brain activities. http://www.funderstanding.com/content/right-brain-vs-left-brain (not a referral link) Cheers... Hi Phillip, Almost all of us in the family are left handed. We love it to be left handed. We are gifted as far as arts and crafts are concerned, creative and can write with our right hand too but a bit slow. Yes we are clever but smart LOL!

thanks for the affirmation and for the good wishes. i am thankful too to my parents and teachers that did not correct me for being a lefthanded person instead allowed me to excel being one.

I think kids are lefthanded first when they hold a pencil or pen to write. same as thing happen to my niece and my other friends kids. they all started as lefthanded and then it changes into righthanded. kids are still in their developing stage. As for the people who are left handed, they are highly creative and extremely good in math but they are not more or less intelligent than right handed people. My husband is a left handed person and he really proves that he has a gift of creativeness and a math wizard. He is a web designer and an engineer(not active coz he likes more working at home).

Hi Andrey, Nice to hear from you. I agree that most kids use left hand to get something but if it never changes even after they grow means that they are left handed right? But I agree that lefthanded people are more logical and good in math. Thanks for coming into this discussion. Have a nice day...Cheers

My sister is a left hander and she is clever. I do not know how to explain why they are clever, even I had classmate before that were left hander and still clever. They are not just clever but very very talented. Moreover, I can write using my left and right hand. I don't know if I am clever, but I know I am humble and cute. I have sorts of talent, everyone of us does.Maybe it has do something with their genes? but that genes comes from their parents isn't it? I really don't know. Have a nice day friend!

I don’t know whether left handed people are in any way smarter than right handed ones. I am right handed and so is my daughter. I don’t believe that if a child is naturally left handed he or she should be trained to change to right handed. I did read somewhere that left handed folks use a different part of the brain enhancing their creativity; I have no way of knowing if it is true but it’s possible I guess.

Both my mom and dad are left handed but they were corrected in the early days since it was considered a sin to be left handed they say. But now, it reflected on both of us with my sister since we are left handed. They did nothing to correct this since they knew how it felt to be corrected and I believe that it is not in the left or right handwriting that makes a person. But they say left hand major users are clever and I would not object to that. hahaha! It's not just because I am a left hand major user, but because it has been explained scientifically in connection with how the brain uses locomotor skills. So yes! I agree. Happy mylotting!

Hi cfmedrano, Really awesome to read your response. Lefthanders are logical and righthanders are intuitive. I got this from a research and I do hope it is correct. I am really happy to hear your story about your parents and you. It is better to leave a lefthander as such. Thanks for your response.. Cheers... Have a nice day always...

i don't think the left handed person is smart than the right person, how smart isn't depend on left or right hander, some person are both,it is possible for them writing by left hand and both ok by right hand.it is not a special thing in the world. good luck and have a nice day!

I am the only left handed in my family but now I have my own my husband is left handed as well as my son. So far I do see that left handed people is more on the artistic, crafty side and indeed clever. I did not stop my son from being left handed but just taught him to use the spoon and fork the right away like my mom did to me. My son is very smart and clever.

Being clever doesn't lie on being a left hander or right hander because if you really are aware of the people around you, you'll see that it really has no effect on what the person's character. I know some people who are left-handed but not clever, same goes with right-handed people. It is the person itself who makes himself/herself clever.

I am right handed people. It seems more people are right handed. Therefore, the left handed people seem to be much more special. We also think that left handed people are smarter. George Bush is right handed President. Except for him, Ronald Reagon, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama are all left handed Presidents. I love China

I think left handed people use the left side of their brain more, or so I heard. The same applies for right handed people - they use the right side of their brain more. Who is smarter, well, I think people can be smart, whether left or right handed, as long as you work towards being smart.

Being a left-handed person, I would like to believe this claim. However, such assumption cannot be proven scientifically or otherwise. To answer your other questions, I'm the only one in my family who is left-handded. And - as far as I know - in my extended family, there are only two of us who are lefties. This is pretty much understandable since left-handedness is considered to be a recessive trait. I would suggest that you advise your brother to allow his daughter to let her use her left hand for writing. Some studies show that forcing kids to alter their handdedness at a very young age would compromise their early cognitive and learning skills.

My mom and I are left-handed. The rest of the family uses right. I think I am clever but I cannot compare myself to my sister or my friends who are right handed because I'm good at memorizing and solving math problems but my sister is better at drawing and art stuff. There are things I can and can't do so comparison is very difficult. But yeah this theory is great!

acctually in our life, maybe our friends or our relatives are lefthanders. my classmate is also one of them. i think she is more or less than us. using hand is just a habbit. one proverb says that genius is 1% of talent plus 99% of sweat. this is just my idea which has no scientific proof. hehehehehhehe

Hi Phillip! Being a lefthander doesn't mean you're really cleaver than those righthanders. I could attest to that! I am a lefthander too! The amazing thing being a lefthander is that a lefthander is very good when it comes to arts. Although everybody can have this skill but as I observed almost all that excel in this field are lefthanders. Lefthanders are also creative in a sense that they can make decisions that his work would please everybody. Correct me if I'm wrong. Comments will be appreciated!
