Married, unmarried or someone who is in a relationship seems to have something hidden from his/her partner.We can't disclose everything to our partners or love ones no matter how open we are to them. We all have our little secrets. I kept my first romantic relationship hidden from my family and friends for a year for fear of getting scolded and disappointing both my parents and friends.I was studying then, and it was a no-no to get involve with an opposite s e x.My friends did not like the guy so I hid the relationship until it ended. When broke up and I stopped going to certain places and doing some favorite activities which puzzled them.I eventually told them everything. Now, I still have my little secrets but I'm not sure if I'd be able to tell them about it, too. Mind sharing yours?

Given the cultural background and norms followed in your society, perhaps you were right up to an extent to hide your affair from your family or friends. I believe that we live in such an environment where it becomes difficult to keep the secrets under the carpet, they come out in the open sooner or later. Everyone has some little secrets and I am not an exception, however, I feel uncomfortable sharing ‘secrets’ on this kind of public platform and moreover, I reveal a secret thing, it will not longer be called a ‘secret’.........LOL

I am not intelligent, I always feel that there is always scope for learning and I do likewise. In one of my today's discussion (in which you also responded) I got the following comment from a friend :
"You have lot of growing up to do"
So I think that I need to learn lots of things.

I don't know if gender plays a major difference because my wife discloses everything to me, even the petty things. I guess it's her way of venting out what ever she has in mind. But i can't seem to tell her everything due to the thought that there are things that i thought would upset her or she may not agree that i'd keep a secret. Cheers!

Well, I can relate to her. Women prefer to be open especially with their better half. However, you can't expect as to let all our little secrets out in the open as easily as you think. One way or another, still, there are things we don't wanna share to even the most trusted person we have. I guess she has her secrets and I have mine too. the most important thing is we keep that secret for reasons that we want to keep something just for ourselves and avoid that feeling of vulnerability when you disclose that secret even to your partner and it's not a secret that your keeping because it would ruin the relationship if the other party knows about it, like having an affair LOL. Because when that secret comes out I'm sure the're trouble. But can you really keep a secret to your grave?

you can always share your thoughts to one whom your trust worthy.But it is very difficult to find such a person in our life but once you have got such a person you can share all your thoughts idea so that you can be out of stress from your mind. Stress plays a major role in our life so you can out of stress and healthy and you can ask for there help and idea to solve any problem they will always see your happiness only. @eurekafemme (5877)

yes there are times we cant share our secrets with all i too have so many secrets inside me but the things is i will say everything atleast to one so i can get suggestion from that person as its a secret i rely only on those trustworthy people such that your secrets are maintained as secrets with in you both and you can get ideas from them too that how i share not to all but to one

You have a point there, my dear. Sometimes, we can't keep that little secret just with in ourselves especially if it is a burden to carry it. We need, at least one trustworthy person to help us lift that burden. Thanks for sharing your thoughts,Sarwanever.:-)
