Do you take vitamins or other food supplement?

Do we really need them? Which one is best to be taken, since there are soo many of those. All of them say that it's good for your body. I wonder which one really are important for our body. I'm a teenager who hates to eat vegetables. SO i feel like I need to take some vitamins and supplement. Do you think you can help me decide which one should I take? At least please share your experience if you take any of those. If you don't take anything, why don't you take them? Is it unnecessary?

I take a vitamin supplement every morning. My doctor advised me to, because my blood was low in iron.

I do not take vitamin supplements. there is no need for me to do so. I do not think I need to take them either. we do get vitamins from most of the foods we eat. however my gf needs to take them becase she has recely had surgey and has been told by the doctor that she needs to take vitamims from now own. the reason for this is that the surgery was on her stomach and she can't eat as much food, so she will have to take vitam suppuments to replace what her body needs.

Yes, it is advisable for people who don't eat fruits or vegetables to eat a few vitamins a day. I eat fruits and vegetables every day and I also eat vitamins. At first, I also did not take vitamins because I thought the fruits and vegetables I eat daily are already enough. But my doctor advised me to still eat some vitamins a day. So I eat 500mg of Vitamin C daily. I eat it after dinner. That's it. That is the only vitamin I eat, with the approval of my doctor. Vitamin C is one of the most important vitamins because it really strengthens your immune system.

vitamins - it is really unnecessary to taks these vitamins if you are very healthy.
I have never taken vitamins or other food supplements before. For some people, expecially for these patients who are lack of microelements, taking these food supplements is helpful to build their body. But if you are very healthy and active, it is really unnecessary to take them. Sometimes, taking them for a long time may cause the physiological dependence and some food supplements have side effects on our body. If you are not anxious for them, don't try to eat more all the time.

Hi nooveggies, When you feel that you are weak from inside take vitamin which will supplement for your energy. I personally love to take lots green veg. but i know sometime its good to take vitamins coz it has of lots nutrients in it what is lack in your body. One can take sometime but for everytime i think it will not good. If posible try to have nutritiuos food rather than having additional vitamins. I felt that having medicine are for those who are not healthy or if we get seriously ill so inorder to recover Doctor usually advice to have vitamins. Otherwise i'll suggest to have the healthy food rather than vitamins.

I don't take vitamins or other similar supplement. I think they are somewhat like the medicine. I prefer to eat the natural food to obtain the vitamin and the minor elements. I love Chin

nooveggies yes most of us do need vitamins as we do not always eat a balanced' diet. if you did eat a lot of veggies you might not need vitamins. but to be] on the safe side just take any good multivitamins with minerals included.do you like fruits if so eat more fruit and that will up your intake of vitamins and minerals too.I have to take iron as I am anemic and calcium as I do not get' enough in my diet. most really good multivitamins also include the necessary minerals so you do not have totake other supplements too

I take iron once a day. There are many different vitamins and they all have different benefits, different side effects, and different prefferred milograms per your body! I think the best thing for you to do is research the vitamins or talk to a doctor about it.

I don't need the both, I'll take fruits because there is found many vitamin on it. And, also can cure some diseases that attack our bodies. It's my own decision, however you can take any good for your bodies.

I take vitamins then but because of lack of money to buy more. I stop taking it and feels that it better to eat more vegetable than take vitamins...

I don't take any supplement, which is weird for a bodybuilder, lol. I have some vitamin pill but they are there on the shelf and going to stay right there as I forget I even have them!! I just keep up with correct nutrition and good workouts, nothing else.
