I do try to write a comment for all responses, but sometimes it is impossible when someone leaves a response that says something like "yeah me too" or "I know what you mean". There really isn't much that you can say to that! It does say in the guidelines not to say something like "thankyou for responding". Another thing to bear in mind is that, from what I have read, you only get paid when you actually write something. So if you start a discussion and receive 30 responses, but don't post any comments, then you only get paid for starting the discussion. If anyone knows differently it would be good to know.

I like to write a response to each comment on the discussions I start but most times there are a couple that are just a waste of time. If they don't add to the discussion they don't get a comment. I can't be bothered if they can't be bothered.

Ok, I haven't been on here in quite awhile. I believe it is prudent to respond back to responders because it helps to keep your thread fresh, which in-turn accounts to more hits and responses. Everyone likes feedback, positive & negative. When people receive a response back, it makes them more likely to alos seek out other threads that you have posted. Yes, please do rate the responses, because it does help the posters earnings. I know, why should you worry about their earnings, you shouldn't but if people see you giving best response posts, your friends will do the same in turn for you. Just Pay if Forward and it becomes a win/win for all parties.

If you start a new discussion which receives responses, unless you go back and comment it will not be a discussion, just a question with a series of answers. MyLot is a discussion site and we earn for discussing not just for answering. If you go back and comment on the responses you will be earning both cents and possibly another response on your next discussion because the user will see that you are interested in the topic that you posted. Just saying 'thank you' is not enough. That does not create a discussion. If you do not comment you do not earn as much as you could because those who post the responses earn for them, not you. Hving said that, you can guess that I comment back to all those who respond on the few discussions that I start.

I always write a comment without seeing whether the person had responded to my discussion or not. I always write a comment for the discussion that I can comment.
