The greatest day of the year. It's were all of the stores lower their prices on as many items as they can and people go to buy everything that they can for Christmas. It's huge in the states. We love it. I am thinking about getting some more toys for my new great-niece, just born yesterday. Now she gives me a reason to really go Christmas shopping.

It's insane! The stores will slash prices on just about everything in the stores. In fact, one time, my brother and I needed CDs that you could record music on, and Fry's Electronics, K-Mart, and Target all had them on sale Memorex 100 CDs for $5.00. That was a steal! We went as early as we could so we could get them, but that was not all that we got. We bought a lot of things that day. My family and friends go nuts on Black Friday. We get anything and everything that we need and want.

Black Friday is a day where MANY stores have sales. Not just wal mart lol. I think you have to go early in the morning though. My friends went last year at 6 oclock =P.

Black Friday is a big shopping day the day after Thanksgiving. Most of the stores have sales as early as 5AM. I had only shopped the day after Thanksgiving once and that was because the laptop was on sale for a great price. I am hoping that this year the stores will let me order things online for the sale price because I found a great deal on a camcorder that my husband wants. I remember when I went to Salt Lake City two weeks ago (my husband had to go to the Veteran's Hospital) we had stopped at the mall on the way home to get him some candy from See's Candyand the mall is starting their Black Friday sales at midnight.

Black Friday originates back the the 1800's for many different reasons. Today, Black Friday is the first day not only of the holiday season but the first day a lot of business come out of the red and into the black. What this means is that most of the year January through most of November retailers show a negative which is recorded in RED INK. The day after Thanksgiving business offer unbeatable prices which consumers can't resist. Since the retailers are selling more quantities and making less gross their profits sky rocket. Sales typically run up until the new year. These sales are recorded in BLACK INK. Therefore, becoming BLACK FRIDAY. But that one day - those HOT ITEMS - the hard to find MUST HAVE'S - that you can only get at 4:00 am - that is what draws the traffic to the stores which 9 out of 10 you will not walk out empty handed even if you couldn't get what you came for!

One more thing... the best part about Black Friday, it's a lot of fun and exciting. If you plan your day right and maximize your time you can finish most of your holiday shopping for a fraction of what it would cost if you did it last minute.
