What Shows Do You DVR?

My husband wanted a DVR a few years back, for Christmas. At first I said no, too expensive, but it certainly has paid for itself. I like to set educational shows on History channel, Sci Fi, or Discovery kids. He uses it all the time, for several shows he likes to watch. As for me, the only ones I DVR are Criminal Minds, Deadly Women, So you think you can dance, and The Young and the Restless. Those are the only shows I watch every week. Strange variety, huh?

We record Who Wants to Be a Millionare, The Price is Right, Deal or No Deal, Wheel of Fortune, Are You Smarter than A Fifth Grader, and my husband tapes his Simpsons, Family Guy, The Cleavland Show, and American Dad. My husband also tapes some of of the biographies, the Country Music Awards and anything on the History channel. He saves these shows and will transfer them over onto Video Tapes.

My mother-in-law (may she rest in peace) loved game shows. She always watched the game show network and did pretty well on the games. The only show she had a difficult time with was Jeopardy. I did not want to get the recorder at first either, but of course my husband (one of the biggest kids of all) just had to have it. His best friend has one and if his friend has one I have to have it too.

Our cable company switched to digital a few years back and when it switched we went with the DVR and now that we have had it I think how in the heck did we ever watch television without it? There are so many shows tat I DVR that my husband gets mad because there are so many times when both tuners are locked up LOL Here are the shows that I DVR during the week:
Monday- House, CSI Miami, One Tree Hill,
Tuesday- 90210, Melrose Place
Wednesday- CSI NY, Criminal Minds
Thursday- Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Survivor
Friday- Medium, Ghost Whisperer
Saturday- Americas Most Wanted
Sunday- Desperate Housewives, Cold Case
I don't usually watch the shows while they record I will normally wait until the kids are off in bed or during the day when they are in school.
I also series record Little House on the Prairie during the week. Needless to say i like to watch television =)

That is a lot of TV watching. I don't seem to get enough time, to watch that many, even with no commercials.

I like having a DVR. I record enough shows that I don't have time for premium cable TV channels. I record sci fi, NCIS, Robin Hood (BBC America), as well as history shows or shows about Alaska.

I record a lot from Discovery, and History, for school purposes.
