Parting the Red Sea, Taming lions, Walking on water, Raising the dead... Are these just stories or did they actually happen?

Yes, I do! If God exists than the miracles in the Bible are childsplay to Him. Whatever we may believe the Universe (and it's a huge Universe) exists. The sun exists, water exists. The miracles in the Bible are nothing compared to the many things we see every day.

Thank you for the BR award. When I think of this wonderful body we all have, so many miracles going on there. Praise be to God! Psalm 139:14 (New International Version) 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Sure do, there is plenty of scientific accounts of modern day miracles happening so why would I cast doubt on past ones.

Every religion has got its own miracles. I am not telling that all are false, some miracles might have happened because of natural things, like a solar or lunar eclipse, or some heavy rainfall, and even the parting of the red sea, might have been some thing like a Tsunami, where the sea goes in and then a tidal wave comes and destroys everything. This could have happened, at that time, and as years passed, people would have added ears, eyes, mouth etc. to those natural calamities, and made it into a miracle.

..hi.. For me personally, I would say that no one knows if it really happened before since we were not yet born during those times.. only those who witnessed what happened would say it really happened.. However, as a believer of God, I don't mind if it happened or not.. The stories only proves how great and wonderful God is.. that nothing is impossible in Him.. I have always trusted Him with my life and my plans and so far, I have been successful in many ways.. I have experienced His goodness and unconditional love.. So for me, it doesn't matter anymore.. I juts believe it did really happen..

I believe they really occurred. But I guess experiencing supernatural "miracles" personally has made me a bit biased on the subject. :)

All these are myths. None of them really happened. People must have invented all this nonsense to make people believe in a god who does not exist.

Yeah, I believe they did. God is almighty and all powerful, when he created the earth and all the living things so beautifully, these miracles wouldn't have been enormous for him.
