Hellow my dear friend!!! Was it your choice for the group of religion you have right now? or you just have it because its what your parents wants you to have? WE have a free will and we should have that. I have studied , research and compared many religions and beliefs and after that i have decided which want i will join and i know its the truth. I believe that this will give a very big impact in my life and to the future life to come.Hope you also do this.

Religion - Religion can give a very big impact in our life and to the future life to come.
Personally, people can benefit a lot if they can choose a religion according to one's belief. Here, in my country, most people don't believe any religions. But in a family, if parents have the religion and then they will choose the same religion for their children. Of course, if I have some chances to make a decision, I tend to choose one through my own idea, which is very important. As you have said above, it can give a very big impact in our life and to the future life to come. Happy myLotting!

It's your choice of choosing your own religion but firstly parents chose it for you. I actually ask my parents why they chose a religion for me and they said it's part of tradition and an obligation as a parent but they ask me too whatever i want now it's my choice.I prefer not to engage in any religion because i look at them as fooling of themselves. I don't care anyway. Maybe because i don't believe on anything that's why.

My parents raised me in a certain religion and it wasn't really a choice for me. As I got older, I realized I was brainwashed and closed-minded. I decided I wanted out and wanted to change. Unfortunately, I was still living with my parents and felt I would be a huge disappointment if I didn't attend their church anymore, so I kept going for them. When I finally moved out, I stopped going and boy, I can't tell you how FREEING that was. I feel so open-minded and free and much happier than ever. I don't ever want to go back to that religion. I have chosen NO religion and it's probably going to stay that way because I don't care for religion at all.

Well, that's your opinion and there's nothing wrong with that, but how do we even KNOW there's a God out there? How do we KNOW there's an afterlife? I'm not saying that neither of those things exist, but I'm not 100% positive they do, either. I don't feel it necessary to have any sort of relationship with any "God" that may or may not exist.

Religion really cannot save anyone, but im hoping that you have that personal relationship with God because my friend it really matters a lot. It has a big impact in your future life not only at this earth but on the other.

look around you my friend.Look at the beauty of nature, the beauty of your body, the beauty of everything. Have you ever wondered who engineered and created this magnificient surroundings? theres nothing to loose if we just believe there is God, but theres too much if we dont. Lets say your right and theres no God and we all just die including the believers, just vanished. But what if there is, what will happen to non-believers? better no regret at all...mind were limited because we are only a creation and we cannot understand everything, but we can believe. Faith.

ideally, to decide on a religion that can be trusted, we must choose based our own belief on that religion, not just me-too let alone run the tradition of parents.

hi jatacs, According to me, Religion is not merely following the teachings of my parents. religion is a doctrine to do good in accordance with the intructions God through the prophet. I embrace the religion based on the research ang i think that i profess the religion now is the truest religion. But i still give tolerance and respect for people who embrace other religions. Religion is not to debate but to educate its adherents to have a soul and good behavior. Have a nice day

Yes, it is my choice of being an atheist. All babies are born atheist and they are brainwashed to become the religion that their parents want, i was too religious when i was a kid, but when i reached my teens, i knew that there was no god, i became agnostic and then atheistic

I agree with you. No baby is born believing in a God. They are BRAINWASHED into it. I was one that was totally brainwashed. Luckily for me, I realized it at some point and started thinking for myself. I try to be open-minded now and I'm kind of on the fence about whether or not there's a God. As for this guy... he feels there's nothing to lose by believing in one, but I believe there's nothing to lose by NOT believing in one, too!

Like you, I have been constantly researching and comparing religions and beliefs since from the very beginning when I already started to have ideas and thoughts regarding the word of God. I believe that in this way, I will be able to determine which religion is the true church of God. Personally, when I look for the true church (Christian-based church), I really see to it that their teachings and doctrines are really based on the bible. Religion should be your choice as far as my opinion is concerned. You have your own free will as to what church you are going to attend. Yes, it would be better if you and your family have the same religion, but if you think that your religion, which is also the religion of your family, failed to comply with one of the the teachings being taught and said in the bible, then I think you have the right to dismember in the church you are in, even though, it would mean that you will separate from the religion of your family.

I was born into religion but as I grew older I kept an open mind. I no longer adhere to any one religion because I believe that religion is the interpretation of man which is not necessarily accurate. I just go by the saying that do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Simple. Who is the pilot of your life? At the end, the decision will still be yours! You know what is wrong and what is right. After choosing your religion, you know what to do now.
