Well, kids surprise you sometimes. We still haven't found our cat, Sunny, who got out last Thursday. We've posted flyers and are checking with the local shelters. Hopefully he'll turn up. I was talking to Cary about it today. He was the last person to see Sunny. And I just asked him a few more questions. Then Cary said that he misses Sunny and that Tiger (Sunny's litter mate) misses his twin. Cary's a twin and I don't think I've ever heard him mention it before. Or that he was aware that the two cats were twins. More going on inside that head of his then he lets on sometimes...

That's really cute. Kids really say the cutest things at times. When I was small, I used to say a lot of things too; stuffs from my head, which my mom thought was really funny..

Cary is a deep thinker and deals with things literally. Was he identifying with Tiger and thinking how much he'd miss his twin if they were separated? I suppose Sunny hasn't returned yet, or we'd have heard. I really do hope he does. Cats have been known to stay away for a couple of weeks and walk back in as if they'd never been gone.

He and Naomi do have some kind of a special bond. I'm sure he was identifying with Tiger. No Sunny yet. I just hope somebody nice found him.

I hope somebody has him, would be much better than if a coyote found him.

I feel pity about your cat being lost. I hope that you will be able to find it soon. Anyway, twins have this kind of instinct where they seem to have a very strong bond with each other. If you are watching shows or reading information about psychic aspects then you will know that a twin possess a special gift. Maybe this is the reason why he misses his twin. Wishing you to find him soon. Good Luck anyway.

That's sweet! Kids perceive and manifest things in their own ways which is kinda sweet. Sometimes, my nieces bowl me out with their persuasive argument. And I hav to give up! Twin cats?! No way you can argue with him!

Of course! People underestimate kids all the time. They pick up on stuff that we don't realize. That's why it's important not to swear in front of them unless you want them saying that when they get angry! I hope you find your cat soon. Tell your small little boy that I'm hoping he comes home.

Hi dawnald, My neice and nephew are twins and when they were young whern I fall and hurt themself, the other one felt the pain, mind you they are adults now and when one is upset they other knows, they have their own homes now and it don't make much difference, they still feel it, I think Carey knows but don't know how to explain himself. I think this is true of all children, there is much more going on in their minds then they express. It's one of challenges of being a parent. And of course it's even worse when your child has a disability like Cary. Just try to be aware and treat each of his questions and statements with extreme kindness. It's amazing to find what your kid heard when they were young are often things you know you never said, it was just a miscommunication. I am sure a great many of the world's woes can the linked to this. Hope you cat comes back, they often do even after a long time, to bad we can't ask them where they were.

Oh that is sweet. Kids can surprise us with the things they can come out with sometimes; just when we think they are unaware or don’t particularly care they amaze us. I hope you find Sunny, it’s such a shame. It is a problem with cats, they are so easy to lose because they wonder so much and they jump over fences and things although they are pretty good at finding their way home too so we’ll keep the prayers up for Sunny!

The kids do love their pets. Sadly, 911 won't help you with lost cats.
