Do U Believe in Smart Working or Hard Working

Recently i came accross one of my school friend.As i didnt meet for a long time so i had asked him about his job nd qualification nd bla bla.I felt really sorry for him coz he works for a good company but they dont pay much for 9 hours of working nd to my surprise he need to work even in the weekends because of his qualification being less for that job nd they give a lot of work.while rest who r working at the same level had a better life compared to him.I have some friends who really enjoy their work coz they work smartly nd make a gud payout at the end of the month.
Acccording to me Every one must work smartly rather than hardly working which would pay you on along run.So wat do you think.which one do you prefer working Smartly or Working hard.

In my opinion, both are important. I believe in having both in your career life.
Smart Working - is working efficiently; being responsible and knowledgeable.
Hard Working - is doing your 100% in every work you do.
If you SW but is not HW, you are not likely to succeed... and vice versa.
I don't know if you'll agree with me, but for me, in order for you to succeed, you need not only to be smart but to be hard working as well.
so... I believe in both. ^_^

i would say that first comes hard work only then u can manage ur work wisely other wise every thing is in vain nd u can expect more for working hard while smart working yields much more.thanks for responding.gud day.

Smart working is always better than hard working.. but in order to be a smart worker one has to be smart.. else they will be just a hard worker without much end result...

I believe in working hard smartly. I believe that if a person is working hard but planning smartly then the hardwork become fruitful otherwise it can lead to failure and that is the reason y people face failure in life even after doing lot of hardwork but poor planning.

Thumbs up to SMART WORK!
I too believe that working smart is what matters these days.
Working hard day and night, and over weekends, only kills your personal life. You forget to enjoy life and end up earning like a donkey.
By working hard, may be, at the end of it you made lot of money, but you would have forgotten to enjoy life.
On the other hand, if you work smart... you will definitely make money, fame and also lead a better life for yourself.
So, I vote for "SMART WORK"!

hard working people really miss their personal life nd cant even spent time happily with them coz they r used to work under pressure nd after some time they think only about work but nothing else.hence smart working is always prefered.thank u for responding.gud day.

Yes working smart would be the thing to do but sometimes many of us have to work hard to work smart because the only other option they have is not to work at all and in this recessionary time ,many companies are forcing their workers to work hard.So I am going to look at this objectively and say that this guy may not have and option at the moment.What would be good is if he can continue to work this job ,save his money and then use his earnings to set up his own company

i agree with you ronnyb especially in these years no one would take chances with their jobs nd try something different unique coz it might cost them their jobs which is very difficult to get one these days.thank you for responding.gud day.

okies man so you got an strategy depending upon the person who issues u an task.wat if he misunderstands u to be a lazy for the work u have done smartly.wat would u do in tat situation would u try to explain him r accept tat u have done a mistake.hope ur strategy works every time.thank u for responding.gud day.

Whatever be the way you work - whether smart working or hard working, it is important that you understand what you are doing and learn from your work experience.If you work hard and slog but you don't grasp things and are just going through them routinely, then it is of no use.Same is the case with working smart.It could earn you better and may even show you in good light but eventually if you are not an expert in what you do, at one time or the other things will come out in the open.Hence it pays to work smart as well as hard and learn things well.

one must work hard initially nd then then spend a happy life later on by working smartly coz till then u would have been promoted had some members under you so u can easily get some gud spot light nd u can finish the work effeiciently nd faster.gud day nikhil.

I do agree with you that smart work is important. But at the same time hard work is also important. What do you mean by smart work? Is giving your task to your subordinates considered smart? That can be one part of smartness. But I feel putting your hard work in the right place that makes a lot of impact is considered smart work. To be effective and efficient and using energy only when it is needed is smart work. So keep working smartly.

Initially u have worked hard to gain some experience nd when u r promoted to a better position you got to reduce the stress on ur selves by identifying the people who can handle the work as you did initially nd this works nd helps u build some good leadership qualities.thank u for responding.gud day.

Both of these go together. I believe working hard will evidently lead you to be able to work smart. People who work smart do get pay more than hard working people it is just the way things are.

When it comes to smart working and hard working, it is obvious that most people prefer to work smart, not hard. But there are few people can really work with a smart way.
Almost all people hope that they can work with high qualification to earn much more money and enjoy a better life, but for some reasons, it is not realistic for some people to work smart. So, most people choose to work hard to finish their work.
Working smart is a wiser life style, but there are few people can put it into practice. In order to finish their work on time, most people have to spend much time on working and have no rest.

hi gerbrowser,a persons qualification plays an important role coz he becomes wiser if he had an masters nd he can implement his knowledge coz he knows some extra ways to complete an alloted task or job which doesnt happen with the hard working coz they take time to explore the ways nd not many companies encourage tat nd they look for ppl who already r proficient.thank u for responding .gud day.

When it comes to working,I perfer to choose the smart working,I can't believe one sacrifice time which should spended to have fun with family to do extra work.Work hard and earn more don't feed this era.on the contray someone smart working,always the one who earn more and relax more.

smart working people make themselves available to more oppurtunities thats y they make gud money where as hard working they keep on doing the hard work only one job which wouldnt fetch much however they get recognised on a long run.thank u for responding.gud day.

hmm..i feel that hard working wuld be best..i've seen many ppl who r smart enough and can handle work very smartly at their workplace but thy dnt have enough stuff.
thy really try to manage alot.but thy have been fired.one of my frd never worked more than 2 mon in the same comp.becoz ther is no stuff.
i definitely wuld suggest hard working and ppl who have real stuff will definitely succeed in their work and their work will be appreciated well.

i strongly believe in working hard initially nd then apply your smartness or experience to ease your work but your friend has got no experience nd pretented as if he is the best nd these kind of ppl really cant get along with this attitude for many days coz some day they would be caught nd loose their job which hpnd with ur friend.thank u for responding.gud day.

I believe in both smart work as well as hard work but the thing is that both the work are not made for everyone only few are happy who have the ability of doing hard work but there are many people (according to one the the survey 90% people) make there living by doing hard work.
So both work stand good in there own places. But i do hard work and i like to do smart work as it does not require much of the physical or mental work which is required in Hard work.

people who work hard are common nd are every where nd they need some time for their recognition but with smart workers they get a quicker recognition nd gud payout too.hence smart working always pays off provided if u r good at managing it.thank u for responding.gud day.

hey sunnycool! for me, it would be great if the two are combined. Smart working can't be without a hard work and hard work is nothing without smart working. The two must be present so that problems are lesser to arise and a worker can do the job correctly and can enjoy as well.

let's face it we are living in a stereotypical world. The diploma and the degree and the school you're from can give you a $1000 salary. Hardwork isn't very much seen. They don't care if you used to working late or a fast learner. No diploma? Sorry!
That's why i am to study hard and work hard for the time i am at school. We live in such a streotypical world, we should actually do something about it. For the time being, i will blend in with this for i am still powerless and a voice no one would listen too.
But in time, i would like to reach that state.

i disagree with you coz it is the experience tat counts when opting for an job not the university u have completed ur studies.come out of it no one is going to offer u a job looking at ur university status or profile they look at ur talent.gud day.

I do believe that you should work smart and not hard, but some people just feels guilty if they don't show that they are working hard too. Some only shows off as though they are working hard, hoping that the Boss will notice and rate them as better than the others. Old fashioned companies do want hard-working people rather than smart-working ones.

For getting success in every field of life, everyone needs to work hard. But in most cases, hard work alone cannot bear the desired fruit. For getting the complete benefit of our efforts, we need to apply our brains . So i don't believe in either hard or smart work but a hybrid of both.

the only thing with the hard workers is that they got to wait for their fruit for a long time while smart workers get in stant or quicker results coz they choose those kind of works so they would get recognised earlier than the hard working people.gud day.

i work very hard but i am not getting a good pay. i work 12 hours everyday even thursday and friday which is their week end here. when i was in india i work 10 hours everyday except sunday. and also its very hot here and i dont like to work sometimes because i am suffering from heat stroke.. and the water here is salty. and people here sometimes good and sometimes bad.

at what place u r working now nd u work for 12 hrs so u really work hard nd dont get the worhty payment for ur work then y ru still continuing ther.if u have so many problems by working there then its gud to move out of tat place.gud day.
