Do you eat and drive?

Do you eat and drive? - Having something to eat in the car.

I usually have some breakfast on the way to work. It'll just be a sandwich I can hold in one hand. And coffee on the cup holder which I alternate with my free hand. When I don't bring lunch to work, I go to a drive through and pick up a burger, some fries and a pop. Driving won't stop me from eating. Do you eat in the car while driving? I once saw a man sitting in a car, in traffic, sipping a soup. He had the bowl, a spoon, and some napkins like a bib in front of his shirt. What do you eat in the car?

I am just now studying for my permit, but I won't be driving whilst eating. If my husband is hungry I will feed him while he's driving. I'll give him a french fry or two, and I think I've held the drink up to his lips so he could sip... I'll ask him to do the same for me when I do start to drive. We live in a rural area, lots of curves, and I wouldn't feel comfortable while eating and driving through them. Maybe on the interstate.

I am careful to watch, I know certainly if one found it's way to my nose I'd be very disgusted and likely not eat the rest of the fries, so I wouldn't do that to anyone else!

Oh! I've been in these situations where I am fed french fries by whoever I am driving with. There have also been instances where one or some of the fries found its way to my nose.

Wow, sound very dangerous. I try it before but almost hit a car. But what can we do, we still need go for launch, the traffic are always jam. To be play safe, I think better do only when your car are not moving, like traffic jam or waiting somebody in car. I always do that last time, McD, snack food, and so on. Have a nice day for you.

I'm an ex-truck driver and many times we had to eat and drive at the same time! Usually when we were hauling rock, gravel, or asphalt from the plant to the place we were working at, not necessarily on the highway! I've driven trucks and vehicles for over 40 yrs, and have never had an accident!

I eat fast food in car when we are traveling somewhere. A sandwich or something along those lines something that can be eaten with one hand. I pretty much have something in the car to drink at all times too.

I should have clarified my discussion... Don't you take this as a distraction? Thanks for responding.

Yes, I am guilty of eating in the car. Mostly I always have to be drinking something in the car but there are times when I eat either to save time during errands or just because I want something. I am careful about what I eat though. I make sure to never eat anything to messy or that can't be held comfortably in one hand or eated piece by piece. I would not eat hot soup with a spoon that is for sure. I will only eat things that will not distract me from driving.

I also try to be careful. Not to be distracted from driving. Also, I hate cleaning up and vacuuming the car so I also try not to make a mess.

I don't east while I drive, if I can only eat in my car then I stop in the roadside and eat, not while I drive. It's more for the eat than the drive, I enjoy my meals, not stuff up like a turkey that's going to be killed this week.

Most of the time I am running late. That's why I can't stop on the roadside.
