It is quite common to join several social sites these days. do you disclose your real age on these sites? Do you want to hide your actual age?

hi vijayanths^^;; i don't find any reasons for me to hide my real age like mylot. afterall, people can't see me personally. but on other sites like facebook, then my friends already know how old i am.. i think people hide their age because it hinders their activities they wanted to do. let's say underage or below 18 are not welcome to join most sites, and over 50 and above are having difficulty on dating sites

Yes, you are right lucky. I don't know about the dating sites. I want to visit those sites soon, just for curiosity sake.

I don't mind telling people my real age, it's their choice if they'd believe me or not. I mean, they don't have a choice really. There are a lot of people who'd even lie about their age in real life, how could one be sure of internet people, right? Unless you'd be glad to post your birth certificate or passport online - which is both a dangerous thing to do.

Yes, but I find many people saying fake ages online. May be they want to stay and appear younger.

Hahaha. It is the age when you want to reveal it to everyone online.

When I was under 18, I would use a fake age on social sites. However I don't have to anymore.

I don't hide my age, i'm only 20, not that old but even if i was 60, i will tell the truth, i don't see why people are ashamed of their age, it's not their fault if they was born before us xD.

Yes of course..I’m 37 and its there in my profile too! What’s the big deal in faking the age, especially on the net where nobody would ever know the real person.

I stop being active in social sites like facebook, friendster and Twitter. I don't know what has happen to my account. About my age I do not hide I tell the truth even i am shy to do it. They will not believe as I told them because I do not look my age. I look younger even if they will see me personally. Even if i do not look younger I will still tell the truth, I am just fooling myself if I will not be honest.

I certainly do tell my real ages, this is because I want people to know that they can have an adult conversation with me. It is very important that I get a chance to talk about things that adults would discuss. When there are children online they usually will not spend to much time talking to adults they dont know and this is good. I prefer to tell the kids how old I am because I want them to know not to talk to me I am a stranger. Nowadays, the problem is people who do not tell how old they are, who get innocent children to have conversations with them, so I think everyone should be required to put up their real age on these sites always to protect our children.

Hello dear brother, I never hide my age not even my personality.(photo) I always believed that "it is easier to tell the truth than to tell lies" -honesty is what you are,if you can't be real with simple information, how much more with personal matters? -if you can't be real in yourself, you can never be real to anybody else's. Age is not a big deal or any other simple information, like country and race or religion. Not unless someone is asking my bank account(ugh!!)
