Hi everybody, I have been using this Acer Aspire 4530 for a while and I have found that it is a very great ultra stable laptop and a nice performer. I have run many latest games and they all turned out fine but I discovered one problem. The problem is overheating. After playing especially the games NFS Most Wanted or The Prototype for a half an hour or so, the temperature of the CPU goes up to 80 or 85C. But this is only the the problem with these games. I have been running GTA San Andreas and GTA4 and they happen to run fine for my surprise as I have got only 1GB RAM and with less heat. I want to know whether this is a problem of only my laptop or if any other proud (well, at least I am proud) owner of Acer Aspire 4530 laptop has got this same over heating problem. Also suggest me what I can do to reduce this heat while gaming.

Hi friend. Im also a proud owner of an Acer Aspire 4530. I agree with you with the overheating. Mine also get way overheated. I have to obligatory put my laptop on a flat surface because i dont, my laptop get overheated and even it has turned off more than once( specially when i played a videogame like pes 2009 or when i watch a movie). ALthough i think we may have different versions of the laptop as mine has 2gb of ram, but still, it seems the heating problem is on all the versions.

I am keeping my laptop on discarded CDs so that there is a large gap below the laptop and this allowed more room for airflow. This prevented heat to a certain extent but still my laptop is hot. Yes, as you said, though the versions of our laptops may be different, but still the heat problem is same. How ever, my laptop is not getting hot while watching movies. It is getting hot when it is overloaded for a long extent. I think it is a problem with the processor or GPU.
