Tagore said that the furthest distance in the world is the love between the fish and the bird, because the former is swimming in the deep sea while the latter is flying in the sky. In my country, There is a saying that goes "the furthest distance in the world is that when I stand in front of you, yet you don't know that I love you." Maybe this distance exists currently. Maybe it's not love, but kinship or friendship. Anyway, what do you think is the furthest distance in the world?

The greatest distance is "as far as the east is from the west" - that is never ending. No matter how far you travel eastwards, you will NEVER reach the west. The Bible says: "As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us" Psalm 103:12

Very true indeed, even if you circle the globe by traveling east, you won't ever reach west unless you turn around!

Rarely do family members grow up in one roof. The farthest distance is the homesickness that one feels whenever he's alone, wherever he go, whatever he may attain. As Mother Theresa quoted, "loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty." The literal distance between east and west is a mere subcontext of what distance/thing/person you're comparing to. As always, the earth is lesser than a pea-sized ball in the vast and infinite universe.

The furthest distance in this world is the center of gravity source point, which is also the center point of Bermuda Triangle. All of the world schedules administrated from this point. What would happen if there is no longer gravity value for earth which is currently enjoying its value for g = 10? For moon it is g = 6.

Hello getbrowser this is checkmail and am excited with yor discussion as the legends Rabindranath Tagore, Swamivivekanand, are mine fav Idols(Literature).Yeah well surprisingly to know that each and every element is at its furthest distance due to its behaviours and the nature's life cycle.Notice closely every relationship, every lives, every things, are at their own furthest distance. But if given exception then it might get close somehow, that's called the struggle to ....

In my opinine,it is the situation like this.It does happen something. But you don't know the exacly the details in it.We can see that in the world there something we can't understand until you learn about it or you don't understand and will misunderstand it,which will brind along the hatred and something like that.I will always believe that until you find exacly the person and you communicate with her or him,you will understand. Hence, never tell me you understand everything, you are so younge that you cann't understand. So just keep silience, and speak out to someone who has a better understanding than you.And you will know more things and feel much more important things. Misunderstanding makes a furtherst distance.

hi,getbrowser! I heard the sentence you mentioned before and it sounds so melancholy. in my opinion, the furthest distance in the world is the gap between his knowledge of himself and the real-self. maybe few people know precisely about himself or herself--the capability and emotion of their own.in fact I believe that the knowledges of the outside world and one's self are interdepent and help each other forward.we know more about the both and we are stronger and more powerful. have a nice day!

I guess the furthest distance is between ourselves and the things we think we want. Our saying is "grass is greener on the other side of the fence." So maybe that is the greatest distance.

YEah, i do really agree with that saying!! "i stand in front of u, and yet u dunno i love u", is just so true!! Distance might not be physically, for it can be pulled near anytime.. BUt when it comes to distance of the heart, if there's no feel, there's no way they can be put together, as there's no love..

Time where one's ego, pride, are involved seem to me to be the longest trip for peoples of the world to make. I am sorry, I hurt you, I was wrong, I made a mistake all these are statements that one must travel a long way to say.

There is no definite in that question, my friend. Because you cannot set any limit in what particular location your talking about. If you say what is the farthest distance from china to russia and india to russia...Perhaps, we can say India. Since question is infinitive I think the best answer is the measurement of the earth in itself in four corners

I think the farthest distance in the world is being in front of the person you love and yet he just ignores you and takes you for granted. I used to hear this from my friends sharing who admires someone so near but so far to be reached... It's hard but that's reality. We can't have all that we want.

This is a very lovely discussion my friend. I must say im impressed thoroughly. If you see my way the shortest distance is from good to evil and longest is from evil to good. Its very much related to me and no matter how much i try i cant be the kind boy i used to be. Anyway cheerz

The distance between the leaders and the welfare of the common man. The distance between the politicians and honesty. The distance between the officials and compassion. The distance between the citizens and responsibilities. The distance between the educated and their behaviour. I find that these are the furthest distances in our country right now.Let us pray and hope that the gap should be closing slowly.

From one place on the International date line to the other side of the International data line like from east to west or from west to east. I have done some quite long distance trips like around the world, from London to New Zealand via the South Pacific Islands. Once I went to Indonesia and stood on the Equator, hopping north to south and vice versa. Yes, love there can be an amazing distance.

hmmmm.. i guess the farthest distance in the world is the distance you'll have to go through when you turn your back from another person.. coz you'll need to travel around the globe to be in front of that person again..

I think either of these two sentences means something mentally. So mentally speaking, I guess that it is right to say so. But geographically speaking, the furthest distance is relatively based on where you are stationed.

I love that quotation! and I couldnt agree more. That could just be the farthest distance. It just doesnt translate to love but the mere presence itself. Its like the person is physically close to us but yet his mind, attention, thoughts isnt with us at present or that he/she doesnt even acknowledge our presence beside him/her.
