Hello friends and dear mylotters, To those who were living in the city like me,do you like the busy life and always in the fast lane? Living in the city has lot of advantages when it comes to modernization and technology. Not to mention the modern parks and facilities and fashion statement. There were disadvantages too, compared to rural areas where most people live in peace and less polluted air. Both place has advantages and disadvantages...but if you were to choose, where do you prefer to live? Do share your opinion and comments here dear friends and mylotters.

Live in rural area is good but limited when in terms of looking for a good jobs. The disadvantage living in the city is that pollution and criminal incident. But this is what I choose I like the living condition in the city...and I prefer to live here this is my life.

My husband and I live in a rural area and love it here. I used to live in the city, but moved county two years ago to be with my husband. Since then I've lived in the country and let me tell you it was bred in my genes to begin with anyway. My grandmother was a farmer's daughter, and my grandfather lived in the country as well. Moving to the country was like home to me, and now I don't like staying in the city for more then a few hours! lol!

Hello Again! Here is wishing you will someday be able to move a rural area in your country or another if you wish, and enjoy the country life there! It is very magical to step foot in an older relative's hometown, is it not? I know I feel so great whilst going to where my grandparent's grew up, I love hearing stories about it and being able to see it too.

Hi, j. I like to live in both places. I have always had a bid fantasy about living in the city. The only thing that I would dislike it is all the noise and the fact that the places of living can be very expensive. I would love to live in the country so that I can be in the quietness and relaxation. I love serene places that are very calm. I just want to live somewhere that is comfortable and pleasing to wake up every morning at.

Hello friend, Living in the city is more of fun and enjoyment, the luxury a city can offered but too much expensive too. While, country life is more of peaceful and nature fresh air and food which is good for the health is what i like living in such place. It is not bad to experience the city life and at the end of it,coming back to the rural/village town where we can enjoy the real peace and serenity. Thanks for your response and have a good day always

City life vs. Rural life I always prefered City life to be my workplace, to be close to each and every facilities required, e.g. stores, institutions, offices, etc. as you are always updated with this fast life. But... my preferance is to live peacefully in a rural area where I can hear birds chirping all day with less noise pollution and relaxing moments. cheers all

hello friend, When it comes to more convenient with modernization, city life can provide it all. With bigger life opportunities too and much earning good jobs too. I guess almost everyone wants to settle their olden years at rural/village area when the times comes. Thanks for your response and have a good day always

I have always been a country girl by heart. It is so nice to grow up in a country side. When I will retire I want to come back to the country side and spend the rest of my remaining life there living in a farm. I am currently living in the suburbs where you get the best of both the rural and urban life. In suburbs you get to experience clean living with fresh air and the laid back lifestyle of a rural life. You get to personally know your neighbors. It is very conducive for a child to grow in a suburb where he can play with the other children in the neighborhood and not worry about pollution. Prices of houses are even cheaper than those offered in the city. What is good living in a suburb is that it is just near the comforts of the city. You can always experience the city life and it is always near to the best schools in the country. Plus there are more employment choices here. Basically you get the best of both worlds living in a suburb.

Hi , I live in Bangalore which is a very busy and congested city. But living here has a lot of advantages which out number the disadvantages. If I had a choice I would like to live on the outskirts of the city where one have some peace and also have the advantage of being close to the city ..I am not too keen on living in a village because most of the villages I have visited are extremely filthy. If there is an idyllic village that is green and clean then I am all for it...

Hello Sis, hope you are donig well. I have in the city for the past 16 years now. And I feel terribly exhausted. The work deadlines, the fast pace, the ever threat of falling short of time has been taking its toll on me I guess. I agree that city life is beautiful when you need to have all the moderen things that life could offer, good educational institutions, technology, hospitals, airports the list goes on! But the question is , is it worth it? Sometimes I do day-dream if I could just be with my closed ones in a beautiful country side enjoying the sunset at the horizon, just pray that it doesn't remain a dream in my life time. Bodhi

To achieve something we have to sacrifice something. But yes if you want good health and opportunities then rural areas has to be improved. Government should co-operate for that.

I was born in the rural place of China. It's very poor in chinese rural places.I don't like that kind of place. Most people are not educated there, and you are total isolated from mordern society.and recouce if very limited too.In nowadays, the chinese rural places are poluted very seriously as well.So after graduation from university,I chose to stay in the large city, though the life here is a little busy, but comparing to the Chinese rural places.I perefer to stay in the large city. This year I got the oppitunity to work in Germany for half an year.I like the rural place there. It's clean, and very mordern. You can get almost everything in the large city.So If lived in a developped country.I would live in the rural place.

I am living in city, where enjoying all modern technology here, but ONE thing i want to mention here, in cities, we cannot consume fresh vegetables ,fresh fruits because it comes from rural or villages, it takes long process before they reach into big cities, then in warehouses and shops they store for long time, Even we cannot enjoy fresh environment, because noise from vehicles and smoke from car, but when we talk about villages we can enjoy fresh air, fresh vegetables and fresh fruits. So finally i like to live in village areas by sacrificing some technologies available in cities.

I prefer city life. I used to live in a rural area, and have a HUGE difference! If is a small city, everyone knows what happened the last night, or you entire life! In a big city, of course you have polution and other stuffs, but it's more cool. If you're stressed, so go to farm/rural area in vacations! :D

Hello. I work in the downtown core of the city, a very busy and noisy area. Working there full time, I have to spend long days there five days a week. So, by the end of the day, I want to spend time in a quiet and peaceful place, that is out of the downtown core. In other words, I prefer to live in a quiet suburban area of the city. That's what I am doing now. My house is outside the downtown core, but still not too far away !

i love the rural life. i have lived in a rural or regional area all my life and want to continue. next year hopefully i will be starting my medical degree and want to practice in rural and remote austrlia. first of all - we dont have any disadvantages in technology. we have set-tops, blueray, wireless internet and all the latest jazz. not only that but we have state of the art machinery. there is less population, people are more friendly and look after one another, fruit and veg are always fresh - sometimes grown at home, we have access to most things - those we dont we may have to go to the city for or order over the internet which isnt hard, children grow up physically - learning about themselves, social skills, the land and their environment. the only downfalls i can see are that sometimes in rural areas people are set in their ways and some can be a bit discriminatory to outsides, there is less access to services such as sporting clinics although that gap is being bridged and may sports stars come from rural areas, some medical services arent available but there is support to get those outback to these services in the city such as CareFlight and Ronald McDonald House. i love the bush. i want to live here and i want my children to be raised here and learn the honest values of the land.

It's a little hard to totally abandon one of the two methods of lives. I think both of them have its advantages and disadvantages. For me, I want to live balance. So , I hope I can get used to both of the lives.

hello jaiho amiga! well, i have experienced living in the city as well in the rural areas...yes you are right both have their pros & cons... i grew up in a rural area and i really enjoy the nice peaceful & calm environment as well as the fresh air and the beautiful fields...but of course i dream of going in the city that time...coz i feel like the lifestyles of people there are far much better than we are... and now, i finish my school, and was given a chance to work in the city...at first, i really enjoy my life there, enjoying those city lifestyles...but i also feel bored and started to miss my life in the province...coz i really feel tired living the city life...hehe last year, i am living in a far province here in Cebu, where our house is fronting the sea...and it was really really great! fresh air, fresh & cheap veggies, quiet environment, less pollution, less population...hmmm really nice! love it! the only problem is that it was far from my husband's place of work...so inconvenient for him, and of course there's no internet there! haha but now, we are again living here in the city...no more quiet environment for we are near the road, no more cheap veggies...but what i like here is that its near to my husband's place of work and there's an internet here! haha more accessible and more convenient for us... but still, i miss the province and i think if i were to choose, i would love to live in rural areas and enjoy the nature and live at peace...

I'm working in the city while our house is located outside of it. Its much better to raise children in the province than in cities. They can enjoy life there without any doubts about the quality of air, pollution, crimes and bad neighbors. My wife and me decided to have this life when our first child was born and had bought a house outside the busy metro. And, we are right on this decision.
