whats the ideal age gap..??

I've been pondering this a lot lately as well being that my son just turned one. My sister and I are 3 years apart and really did not get a long growing up. We do now but it took both of us moving out for it to happen. I have two friends that are each a year and a half apart from their siblings and they hung out with all the same people growing up and still do today. Also my sister is done having children and I am just starting. Her youngest and mine are a year apart but what about her oldest and my youngest, who will they play with when we get together? These are the things I think about a lot. I am hoping to start trying around March or April and hope what ever happens they'll eventually love each other!

My daughters are two years and four months apart and it seems to be a really good age gap for me. My oldest is always eager to help her sister and for the most part they get along really good. They are six and almost four now and they like a lot of the same things which makes buying toys and games a lot easier on me.
