Do you prefer city or country life?

I grew up in a small town, and always wanted to move to the big city. When I went to visit family in New York a few times I fell in love... and always wanted to return and live there. Then I got older, got married, and was living in a big city. I learned that the cost of housing is incredibly high, the size of your yard is incredibly small, and in big towns you have to worry about more burglars, dangerous people, smog, and much more. Now that I live in the city and am planning on having a child, I would love to move out to the country life where you can get some fresh air and run around a bit. What do you prefer and why? I would love to know!!

i prefere country life, fresh and clean air, clean places, trees, fields, animals, but i like city beacause you can find every kind of funny things and all you need, i live in country, near the mountain, with forest and fields about 30 meters away from my house. i live in valtellina a small province in the north of italy, we have surrounded with mountains, and here city are so small that it's impossible to find what you need. i would like to live in country, but not so far away from a big city where i can find everything.

You are so comfortable,I also prefer to live in the country where the air is clean and the traffic is good. But there are not many opportunities in the country. In order to get a good job i have to live in the city.

Hi kjess I do live in the country now. I have lived in the city and to me it wasn't what I wanted. The closeness of everything is good but still I would prefer the country. I have more privacy and can get more sleep because of less noise. I don't live to far out of town. Have a nice day and remember to always smile.

Formerly I prefered to live in city, because it's more convenient for studying, going out with friends, entertaining,...However, nowadays I realize the precious moment having fresh air, staying in calm and quiet, so I change my mind. Besides, with the support of internet, I still work and get in touch with people while I'm in a faraway countryside, so I'm not interested longer in urban life.

I prefer the country life because there are less people to deal with and that makes crime very low compared to urban life. Give me the wide open spaces that the country offer and I'll be content.

I would prefer to move to the country. I would like the quietness and the seclusion that it brings along. I do have an taste for living in the city. But, I don't think that I could ever live there. It is too expensive when it comes to living. I would rather just live in the country where it is calm.

I always prefered a city to be my workplace, and it is solely to be close to each and every facilities that is required to lead a comfortable life, e.g. stores, malls institutions, offices, etc. But... my preferance is to live peacefully in a area where I can hear birds chirping all day with less noise pollution, sparsely populated and relaxing moments. It should be on the country side.

Most of the time the country is too quiet for me. My choice is the city. I grew up in the suburbs and that is what I am used to. But I don't mind the occasional visit to the country time and again.

Hello kjess77 and welcome to mylot. I have always lived in the city, you are so right about there being alot of burglaries in the city and overcrowdings. I feel like when I went down south to Atlanta. It was so peaceful to being the country part. There was so much grass, trees and freedom to run around. It was nothing at all like the city. In the country the is so much space and hardly anyone troubles. Far as the costof living I am not to sure about that but I bet it isn't as expensive. Once I become wealthy I may even move out of the city to the country so I am not hardly bothered.

I have lived both in the city and in the country and I think I am more suitable for city life. Maybe suburbs, not city center, but I love city life, while I think country life is too boring for me.

I am a city girl! Everything about the city makes me a happier person. When I go to visit my mother in the country part of NJ, I immediately feel depressed.

I prefer the country life or town life. I don't care to live in a big city for one thing driving in a big city is a pain since theres a lot of traffic which is why I would never want to live in a city. I would not mind living in a city if I had my own personal driver then I would live in a city but for now I would rather live in a town then a city.

I grew up in a tiny town that a lot of people in my own country don't even know about. I go back every now and then to visit, since I now live in a city. I miss it sometimes when I remember a funny event that happened to me, but I don't think I'll want to move back there anymore. I love being in a city.

HI, there. I grew up in the heart of the city and act like a city girl. living in city greatly affect my attitude, personality and perception in life. When i finished my schooling I thought I'm gonna like it forever but as i get older I often go to my grandma's farm and start liking their way of living, so simple and peaceful unlike in the city all are in fast phase. I prefer living in the country side with my future family.

country life - Living is such a so called society, more and more people are tired of the busy city life and looks forward to the serenity of countryside.
Compared with city life, I prefer to country life. Living in country, it has a quiet atmosphere, fresh air and more chances og getting close to the nature. But in cities, there're too many people with a crowded traffics and noisy atmosphere which makes people feel sick. The melodious bird singing as well as the pure country style all make people feel comfortable. In fact, it has become a trend that more and more people are tired of the busy city life and looks forward to the serenity of countryside.
