Haha! That is just sad...how did that nurse answer the licensure exam? At least, she really asked someone who knows and got corrected, rather than leaving his/her doubts and giving the wrong information to patients. I'm an RN, and it's funny that I've a somewhat similar encounter with a medical technologist. She asked me "How do I get a thyroid panel?" And a fellow nurse also asked if BPPV (for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) is a medically accepted acronym, after having asked the receiving resident who just replied he'd look into it.

Thanks MimiRemo!! That is how i wonder how that nurse passed his/her licensure exam. I have a feeling that luck was on his/her way during the examination. I hope that nurse wont make or do any simple yet unacceptable mistakes in his/her work since he/she is dealing with people lives. I hope that nurse will wake up and needs to focus and study more about his/her profession. Because a patients life is at stake if he/she will rely on pure luck!

Yeah. In our field, we should be responsible to continue to educate ourselves on what knowledge and skills we think we lack. Otherwise, our patients and licenses would be at stake. Have a nice day!
