My Mind is so disturbed about an historic incident of killing in Mindanao. Muslim VS Muslim, not to mention innocent media men and women who were sexually abused. Men are beheaded. SO heinous that I feel angry to those who did it. And guess what, this is going to be another crime that will seek justice from the Philippine government FOREVER. Ampatuan as has been suspected is one of the proponent of the so called "MOA", an agreement putting Mindanao under Mulim government that has political/fiscal autonomy. This makes MOA a senseless issue. I think it is resolved. Economic Progress they say, No! I suppose they mean Political, Economic, and Social CHAOS.

Im a bit confused. Is this a recent event? You did say historic, so I guess not.. It sounds appalling.

hello jennybiance.. ^_^ I am sorry for the confusion. I referred it as historic since it is the most heinous massive killings that involved innocent media men. Philippines has 107 recorded killings of mediamen since Philippine Martial law up to the day before this killing. and now we have to count the additional 15-20 mediamen killed in a single incident. So depressing that I even reactivated this Mylot account to find some channel to unwind my mind. My prayer goes to the victims.

Yes the incident is really barbaric enough just by watching the news makes me sick. I think it is not religious conflict but really political in nature. I could not imagine family clans are really able to these to themselves. They were just only vying for a political position and the perpetrators being in the seat does not need to resort to this because they could just do almost anything for them to take the seats for themselves. I guess with this happening they are just putting themselves deeper of losing the people's support and sympathy for them to stay in power. This barbaric act should not be condoned in any place here in the Philippines because we are a democratic country and anyone willing to run should not be stopped from vying for any political seat.

Actually they could have resorted to many dirty political tactics they could if they would be challenged in coming election. There are many and they do not need to resort to violence. What is really funny about that is that the candidate running is still alive since he was not in the convoy when they attacked it. I think that will only put them more under magnifying glass making campaigning very difficult for him if he would be allowed to run.

hi rsa101! It's a political race of the politicians. When they win, its their victory. But when they lose, the innocent are at stake for casualty. and let me just emphasize, they dont need the support of the people (Votes). When you are the only candidate, you got it automatically. and since, the country's political poll is moving towards modernization, cheating could be very hard and the worst solution these dirty politicians see is to kill their opponent.

Hi, Politics! I hate it. It has been a news from Mindanao for long time. I don't think it is a Muslim issue because some of them are name sake Muslims. They may be having a label as Muslim because they born as a child of Muslim parents. A real Muslim will never kill others. These are motivated by Politicians who seeks some benefit from this. So please abstain to use the word 'Muslim' at such people, I hate it. May almighty God show them the right path. Peace.

So You agree that Hitlers killed in Gods name and he was having a Christian Label, But it has nothing to do with Christianity. In the same way the politicians doing killing in the Philippines also has nothing to do with Islam. Islam don't give asylum to those who are war mongers and killing innocents. I was trying to portray something:- Many people forget about real Islam and try to show the crimes of some people as Islamic teachings and show it as Islam. That I wanted to make clear. So I would love to hear the Mindanao killing as killing of some bad people rather than a fake "Islamic Killing" Many people fail to realize the degree that we can live in peace and harmony, instead they try to make an Islamic Phobia. Let us understand together and live in peace. May Almighty God guide us to the right path. Peace.

I think we are pointing towards the same idea. I dont think religion should serve as a starting point of struggle in Mindanao. I just wish that those who kills for their belief/religion will be enlightened.

One thing, Islam is indefinite. For the terrorists point of view, killing is as holy as it may bring salvation for his soul. But for a muslim like you, killing is unjustified at all. But I know, Islam and Christian Religion are supposed to be a religion pointing us towards God. and GOD does not allow anyone to kill. Whatever or However interpretations Muslims has towards killing and believing in Allah, the Islam religion has always been the victim. No blame for the Christian Victims and their families and friends since the enemy's shout the name of their God as they kill or kill themselves as they explode their bomb in the middle of many innocent people. I am not losing my mind in commenting here. I am actually expressing my full consciousness of how we feel about violence in Mindanao and the sad story is that ISLAM has been a useful tool in organizing armed conflicts and rebellion not only in Mindanao but throughout the world. ISLAM is just a translation away from Christian. Some say, all that can be found in Koran can also be found in the Bible. Significantly identical. I believe that ISLAM a thousand year ago and ISLAM of today has a great difference. If Christian which originated from the Arab countries(MUSLIM countries) invalidates any reason to kill except as it is an accident, then as of today, with all the fool's understanding, KILLING HAS BEEN THE REASON WHY Mujahideens or HOLY WARRIORS exist. ISLAM DOES NOT ALLOW KILLINGS WE KNOW IT. WE CHRISTIANS BELIEVE IN IT BUT, THE BIG FRUSTRATING 3 LETTERS MEANS THAT ISLAM WE KNOW IS NOT THE ISLAM WE SEE. IT IS ALL THE FOOL'S FAULT AND NOT THE VICTIMS AND THEIR FRIENDS OUTRAGE. I believe that not all Muslims has the same color. I just forgot to use another brush in this painting. and I say to you my dear friend, in the middle of darkness there is light.

Like you I feel angry towards people who did this horrible crime!I am living in Mindanao, particularly in Davao city, so the news is really a big one. It is just frustrating to know that people who are involved in this kind of crime is not being punished by the justice.

I woke up this morning at 8. and its the first news I watched. I thought it was just a usual killing incident (well killing that is Mindanao) but when I heard the figures and noted the way they were killed, I felt so anxious about it. I never felt this again since I watched the videos of Poso Village Massacre in Indonesia and a man who was stabbed from left and right and back and front by a few one hundred mob on that video. until now, I am still depressed about it. My parents also feel the same since one of the victim (ALejandro "Bong" Reblando Sr.) was confirmed killed happened to be one of their friends. He helped my parents tp publish my mothers change of name in the Manila Bulletin. I wish to see justice in this inhumane attack against innocent individuals.

It is very shocking news really and the people who did it have no conscience and not human. There are brutally killed, women and media are included . That's why Maguindanao is not progressive and peaceful because of these people. Muslims killing each other and education of the people there are poor and pathetic. GMA 7 covers a documentary about the education system in Maguindanao and I feel pity to the children there. They are lack of everything there.
