i don't like twilight series, i think that is only for teenagers, love stories between vampires, human and otehr things, i think it's only the ordinary movie for teenagers girls. And the starring in the harry potter movie none interest about him, and now i heard a lot of teenager girls says wow it's awsome, it's beautiful i would like to fall in love with him and more. And you myloters? do you like twilight series? have you ever red the books? Thank you for your responses?

i guess its a total girl magnet.. cmon' who wouldn't be dazzled by Edward Anthony Masen Cullen.. Also, Stephenie Meyer created a book about a girl meeting a vampire, yes i am taking about Isabella Marie Swan, this simple girl, she's clumsy, she's like any normal girl and i guess Stephenie Meyer used normal and easy words but she created a dramatic story and well everybody and mostly girls loved it. I for one like the Twilight Series, its romantic. It showed me how good it feels to have someone to love and have that person forever. A forever that doesn't exist. Its kinda like a story that made itself alive through the people who loved and continued to adore romance and fell in love with the characters and of course the story. Also, if ever that a person doesn't like the Twilight Saga, no need to degrade it. Everybody has their own likes and dislikes. Just saying.

I don't think that you degrade a book or movie if you say what you don't like about it and argument your position. What you just said sounds more like : if you don't like it, don't talk about it. I believe discussions about things we don't like are even more constructive than the ones about things we like. Because they create debates and battles of arguments, which develop human behaviour and are also a good mind exercise. As long as this dicsossions remain in common sense parameters and the people don't start ofending eachother or the subject. And I don't think this is te case here. Some of us really don't understand this twilight trend and what so many find so appealing. As for Edward : he has a very asimetrical face, very interesting and suited for a vampire, but not attarctive. At least that's my opinion. Interesting is not bad either. He really doesn;t have a common face at all but that doesn't make him sexy or handsome in my eyes.

I don't like Twilight either, codris. Though i read the books and saw the movies. I was very curious why all the fuss. I read and watch with an open mind, trying to find the thing that attracts so many. But I failed. Though I really like vampire books and certain vampire movies. I woulnd't say they are only for teenagers, though the quality of the writting and the story itself aren't at a very high quality. Again, for all those of you who feel offended, this is my opinion, and I'm entitled to one since they invented freedom of speach. This is another thing I don't understand. Usually groupies like the Twilight ones take it like a personal offence if you say something unpleasent about their point of interest. It's really a non-productive attitude. Not all of us can like the same thing. And we are not trying to conince you not to like it anymore (like you try to convince us to like it). We are just argumenting our own opinion. And not accepting others' ideas, wether you like them or not if a proof of a narrow mind. Again, sorry if my opinion offends you. But if it does...it just proves my point. I'm not saying people who watch Twilight (or are groupies for other mondene phenomenon)are narrow minded. I'm just saying that the ones who can't accept the idea there are people out there who don't like it , are. I really apreaciate your initiative , cordis.I too am trying to find the explanation for the fascination people are experiencing. But I think for now I'll settle for Anne Rices' books as the number one in my own vampire books chart.

There seems to be a lot of interest in the vampire/human/werewolf triangles lately. Not just Twilight, but also True Blood/Sookie Stackhouse, and Anita Blake vampire hunter. I think it's something about the bad boy thing. He's bad (vampire), but he's handsome and he tries to protect his lady, even from himself. It's a romance with a little extra. That makes girls come all unwound, because we've been brought up with the whole "Prince Charming" thing, but we rebel against that. So we like the bad boy/ not exactly Charming, but still sort of princely. That said, I wasn't really interested in seeing Twilight. I read the Anita Blake books, and that's a whole different look at the triangle, and a lot bloodier. But someone loaned it to me, so I watched it. I've read the Sookie Stackhouse books too, so I can compare. Yes, this one's more for teenagers. It's a lot less bloody or morally compromising (I haven't seen New Moon, so I don't know if it stays that way), it's more innocent. I haven't read any of the books, so I can't compare it to them. I was surprised to find that I liked it. Don't get me wrong. I still think the Anita Blake books are way better than either Sookie or Twilight, but the show was enjoyable. Even for a jaded cynic like me, walking into it with an attitude, I still enjoyed it. (ok, ok, I also like The King and I and other sappy stuff, but I don't usually enjoy teenager things.)

I have not read the book. I watched the first movie. It did not seem all that interesting. It was a movie which one could watch when a person has nothing much to do. Perhaps the next movies would be interesting. Lets see.

I have no interest in the Twilight series or the movies. There is way too much hype. Entertainment media is focusing on these actors' private lives and that is taking away from the movie. It sounds like a fake money-maker to me.

That goes to show that not all people have similar interests and tastes. I really love twilight series. Although I personally believe that the books get worse as the series progress. I'm not a teenager anymore (I just turned 20 last month) but I firmly believe that people need fiction to remind them of fantasy stuffs, romance. We all need to dream, no matter how old or young we are. So, I guess, that's the main reason why people love fantasy books like Twilight and Harry Potter.

Same!! My orchestra teacher love twilight series. I hate her because she is so annoying. She took forever explaining us the plot and why the book/movie is good. She has like carboard figure of each of the character. I hate how she acts toward twilight.

I'll go from my view point. I should first preface this with the fact that I am a 29-year-old, married mother of two children. I do enjoy the Twilight Saga, and I do think that Robert Pattinson is good-looking. However, I would not go to the extent of saying that he is extremely hot. The thing that I really like about the Twilight Saga is not the casting in the movies, it is more of the concept that is conveyed from the books. By reading the books I feel like I have been able to become a better lover to my husband. I learned that there is a love that is so true and pure that it can last throughout this lifetime and beyond.

I've read the the book before. I'd say it was a pretty good book. I don't go crazy for the series and movies though. I absolutely get annoyed when girls keep obsessing over Taylor Lautner. I seriously think they should keep it to themselves aha. Anyways, I think the series is pretty interesting and worth watching. I like them, but don't love them.

I have no idea, it is very poorly written literature, and the characters do not develop well at all.

Many girls want to be like Bella, and many girls want guys like Edward and Jacob. Frankly, I can't stand Bella, I can't stand Edward, and Jacob is not the first choice on my list of men (he would rank in the middle or at the very bottom). Girls love this fairy tale fantasy of a vampire who will take them away and romance them, but let's be real, this is never going to happen for the majority of women in this world because most men cannot be romantic. In fact, many men fail in the romance category because it is not in their true nature to be like this. On the other hand, women, if you want to be like Bella, then I pity you. I do not see her as strong. To me, she is very weak. Sookie Stackhouse from the "Sookie Stackhouse Series" or "True Blood" is a woman who is much stronger than Bella and not a push over like Bella is.

Hy codris... I don't like all twilight series but i like first part . First part looks some thing different but the same cannot be viewed in other parts also (my opinion). Everyone has their own opinions. some of my frnds are mad watching the series. I can't do any thing except joining them for their happiness...

Hi Codris, Well I read the first and second book and they were alright. But I must say the movie was rated very low in my book. I felt like the cast is ALL wrong. And I can't beleive how famous the movie has gotten. Some are even claiming it rivals with Harry Potter and I am not even a huge HP fan but that is absolutely ridiculous! When New Moon came out there were two long lines that wrapped around the building. Ridiculous. I don't think the books or the movie deserves this much attention at all.

Hello! Well I didn't read the books, but I heard that are great and that is no comparation to the movie. Personaly I love the movie, maybe because I love vampires. I always enjoied vampires movies and I like Twilight, because is a love story with beautiful vampires, not a horror movie like most vampires movies. Love story + vampire = Great movie & story Btw I am 22 :)
