What do you do when you are sad ?

everyone feels sad and depressed sometimes and lonely and aloof too. some people try to change their atmosphere, some their living style . to get out of the mood you have to snap it out. you have to do something to get out of it otherwise you will make your life too sad and lonely. when i feel sad and depressed, i just go out. go for a walk, play with our baby . i just try to change my mind and what all is my mind. o know it is difficult but i do that. i go for a workout also. i think i feel very good after a good workout especially with my trainer. what about you ?

hey i cant determine what i do when i am really sad...perhaps i behave very randomly when sad...on times, i try and indulge in something and on other hand, i feel depressed and keep cursing..but above all i never lose hope pf coming out from the sadness and keep on trying to find out what things are responsible for my sadness and focus on them so that my sadness may disappear

Well, feeling sad is just one of our normal phase of emotions. Normally, it is only temporary, but if it perseveres for so long, something is wrong. It will lead to depression. One way to avoid the feeling of sadness is to try to change your mood. In order to change your mood, yes, you have to go out for a walk. You need to be alone and contemplate. One 'being sad' buster is to listen to happy music, or watch a funny movie, or sitcom.

Whenever I'm sad, I do a series of things to help me feel better. I usually talk to someone who will understand why I'm sad and actually help me with it. I also listen to my favorite music and dance. When I dance, I don't think of anything but dancing so it keeps my mind off of things. Working out is also something I sometimes do when I'm sad. I mostly do it when I'm mad however.

If a feel sad i will just start feel depressed and i will loose my sleep.I wont sleep the whole night I will be thinking of this only.But i will somehow realise how this happened and will try to never make the same mistake again

I listen to some cool music or play with my guitar, or smoke and watch the sky. or I would go to sleep or just relax on my bed.

Most of the time if I'm needing to be cheered up I will switch the TV on and find a good comedy to watch. This allows me to switch off, relax and enjoy myself. The comedy that I'll generally watch when I'm feeling like this is Frasier, but really I will watch any comedy that makes me laugh. The other thing that I find really good is music. I'll normally put on some really good, upbeat, toe tapping 1970's disco or funk and the next thing I know I'm singing and dancing around the living room. Now that realy does make you feel good.

That is cool, actually. Whenever I'm sad, I would go for a stroll and just chill. Sometimes, I would ring up some mates and at other times, I would spend time online and just get some relaxation moments surfing the net and stuff like that.

when i am sad i do not feel like doing anything at all but i do not have the luxury of just doing nothing so i push myself to do what needs to be done and although my heart is not in it somehow i manage. i tend to get down and depressed because of life circumstances and there is not alot i can do to change some of them so i overcompensate by doing more of what i can do to fix things and make them better.

Hi, aweins! When I'm sad I love to listen to music- some ballads or something this kind. What I also do, is to take a walk out in the nature- take some photo and then I calm down, and I am not so sad as before. But when I am very sad, only the alone walking helps me, to forget for a while about my sadness.

For me when i am sad I cry so that it made my mindless away and i can voice out my sadness and pray to Jehovah GOD that he can cured my heart pain after that it maiden.

lucky for you i have already bby to turn into when your are sad or depress, me? i usually quence my sadness and depression thru this site, go out with my trusted friends, and like you i'll push harder to gym to quence my emotional sickness

when i sad i usually give myself a chance to listen to my feelings. what is it trying to tell me? where is the sadness coming from. in short i evaluate my sadness or the feelings in general. i don't sulk, its just that i take a break from my usual activity and give time to myself. listen to yourself... evaluate your feeling. and knowing where the feelings is coming from, do something about it. sadness is feelings and nature of human emotion. the feelings sadness comes, when we lost something special, important or when we disappointed about something. when people feel lonely, they may feel sad. feel sadness when miss some one badly, don't get stratification on something,some people in sad mood, they feel like it will last forever but normally feeling of sadness are not last very long. few hour or few days or few month, depend on emotional depth, type of mind and type of reason of sadness. some time sadness can make feel like crying, during crying people may feel better sometime too. anyway when i feel sad and deepest hurt crush my good feeling, i like to stay alone for little while. some time feel comfort company of good friend. some time i like long drive, some time i feel better to plying guitar, listening song, shopping.

Whenever I feel sad, I try to not spend as much time by myself as possible. I tend to speak to friends about what's making me sad and see if they can come with some advice to entertain me. The important thing is, don't spend time alone, do some work, like reading, watching a movie, play video games, exercise and so on. It's likely that you'll forget about the problem, and even benefit from your "runaway" plan. If you have a girlfriend/boyfriend, it's even more easier (but of course the source of your sadness isn't because of your g/b'friend). Just tell them the problem and I'm sure they'll do all they can to make you feel a lot better.

I don't really feel that sad or depressed often but when I do, there are a few things I try to get over my funk. Well, first I always head to the gym to work out my sadness or frustrations. Often I find once you're done working out, you've accomplished so much that it's sometimes enough to get your mind of your mood. Other times I might go rent a funny movie or something I really want to see, and curl up in a cozy blanket. I've also gone hiking as well because being out in nature is also really beneficial when you're down in the dumps. A yoga class is also a good idea as well, esp Bikram as you're sweating out all those toxins. Sometimes I might even get the urge to bake something chocolaty as well, and well I'll temporarily forget my mood as I'm pigging out on sweets. Sometimes there is nothing better than getting together with a good friend for coffee or lunch, and just having someone there to listen to your problems and be sympathetic. This next one is a dangerous one. Ok, well I've been known to spend a lot on clothes, or shoes when I'm really depressed ,or start buying online. At times I might even just play with my cat because being around animals also helps when you're feeling blue. Ok that's about it.

Well,i think that getting out is a good way to make ourselves relax when we are sad.In addition,i often sing a lot of songs when i'm down.i think when i sing aloud is the best way for me to rush my sadness out.i hope this way can help also.

I agree with you that everyone of us will one day experience sadness and loneliness. There is no exception I believe. Therefore, I admire you for working out to keep yourself energized. For me, I just work home and play the guitar. At least, I can cry privately and sing instead of going somewhere and make some foolish things that will ruin my life.

When I feel sad and depress.I will cry.I will find an nobady place but me.AND loudly as much as one likes.Time would be crying for an hour.After crying, I will say to myself:I can .I can.I can can can.Insist is victory...DO YOU THINK SO ?MY FRIEND . happy mylot..
