Do you like to watch cartoons before the major holidays?

It's that time of year again with the major holidays around (Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas), and around this time I like to watch cartoons like those holiday specials and Looney Tunes since they at least act like life support for the kid in me. Helps keep my small bit of optimism in check. Real comforting since we might be in some troubling times soon ahead. I still remember back when I was little that they showed those old Disney cartoons on Fox, and those Rankin-Bass claymation cartoons on either NBC or CBS. Simply put, i'm not too old to watch cartoons at all. Since it's near Thanksgiving tomorrow, do you still watch regular cartoons like the Looney Tunes, holiday special cartoons like A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, or both?

My children are 2 & 5 and they love watching all the holiday cartoons and I watch them right along with them. I always watched them as a child. And so the tradition continues.

I love to watch cartoons it does not matter what time of year it is lol. I will watch cartoons since I guess im a kid at heart so I like to watch cartoons which im also not afraid to admit it either. And if people make fun of me well I could care less really since I don't really care what people think of me. Stick and stones make break my bones but names will never hurt me.

I like to watch cartoons all the time. They're my favourite type of tv shows. Especially before major holidays, when broadcasters release the good entertaining ones!

It depends on the cartoon. I like the Marvel Christmas Specials, those are funny. The Disney ones are great as well. Oh, NBC has there Dream Works holiday specials now. There is "Monsters Vs. Aliens: Halloween Special" and this time there is the "Madagascar: Christmas Special". The clay animation ones were awesome as well, I believe that those were on CBS.

I think I am already too old for cartoons and even during my childhood days I never really liked cartoons. I find then too unrealistic and I easily get bored. I would rather watch true human beings. I want to see real people acting and emoting on the screen not cartoon characters.

No because I( watch it all the time. Well I actually like anime better than cartoon because it has more realistic pictures with more action. I really like some of the cartoons but I can never compare them to Animes.

Oh yes I do, very much! I'm really young at heart, and I'm not afraid to show people my child-like side. I love Christmas cartoons because they add to the Christmas atmosphere and make me long for Christmas more. I would never get tired of watching cartoons.

When I finally get holidays, I will probably watch lots of cartoons. Near big holidays the tvs decide to change the programming to make it more oriented to kids, and to tell you the truth I like watching kids programs, like cartoons for example. Now I don't have much time to watch tv, but I'll sure do when the holidays come.

I will always love cartoons, especially Disney. ^o^ When I was growing up, I used to watch the Peanuts Holiday cartoons- we had the Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving ones on vhs. I also loved those old, old stop motion animation movies with Rudolph the reindeer around Christmas time.

Yes, and if your age is correct, I am way older than you but love the old cartoons. I remember a few years ago and 'Pinky and the Brain' was a popular cartoon. They had a Christmas special that was so awesome I could not stop laughing. Pink and Brain are working as Christmas elves. Pinky does the usual routine about what are we doing tonight. Brain says well I know I am not going to that Donner Party. I nearly wet my pants laughing as did my husband - the 3 boys went 'Huh'? We made them look up the Donner party in the encyclopedia. They then understood the humor. If you don't know about the Donner Party-- do ahead and do a search. You will see why the line is hilarious. BTW- always keep the kid in you alive - especially around Christmas. Believe!

We recently watched the Charlie Brown Halloween special. I am sure we will watch the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving one if it comes on TV which I am sure it will. I love that one toast and popcorn for Thanksgiving. I love all the old Christmas classic cartoons, Rudolph and Santa Clause is Coming to Town and of course Frosty. I actually bought a DVD set a couple of years ago that has all three of those on there. It always brings me back to when I was a kid and now my kids can watch them and enjoy them now too. I have not seen the Looney Tunes one though. I will keep an eye out for that one.

Watch it all! I love getting into the mood of things, especially holidays! Getting the feel for holidays do make you feel like a kid, but it also makes you feel like your not just sleep-walking through life, just trying to get through the day. It keeps you feeling alive and well and making you want to wake up every morning!
