Do you enjoy watching movie all by yourself? In another words, can you go to movie theater all by yourself? I just did. Today I went to movie theater watch "2012", and I simply went there all alone. I just don't want to bother my friend, since most of them already watch that movie. I just want to watch it on my own. Sometimes, I rather enjoy watching movie at the theater by myself rather go with my friend, because during the movie, my friends always making some comments on the movie, and he just bother me while I am watching it. So, can you go to movie theater all by yourself?

At home watching a rental from Blockbuster I don't mind being alone but I don't see doing the same thing in the theater. Well really you aren't by yourself because there are other people but its still awkward.

i kind of had a weird experience when i go to see a movie on my own... well it was like this i was in a movie theater and i really had an urge to go to the bathroom, but i was flanked on both sides by two kissing couples and i could not just go up to them and say to one of them "excuse me? could you stop groping each other so that i can go to the rest room..." so after holding it in for so long i almost lost it! then thankfully the movie sequence changed from a romantic segment to a something thrilling then i had an opening to use the facilities... And the moral of this story is... always carry a pee bottle or maybe a diaper... Just Kidding! and the answer to your question is no i dont like movie theaters that have very narrow aisles for other people to pass through.

Your experience is so interesting, but at that time you must want to pull them aside and rush into the rest room! I had the similar experience to hold it, but not in a theater but on a bus. There is no toilet along tht road so I hold and hold..., at last I failed to hold it to my destination and stopped the driver and then found a hidden place to reslove the urging stuff. At that time I think nothing is better than having a toilet eith the bus!

I *can* go to the cinema by myself but I would rather not. I do think it would be more exciting to be with friends, or with just my boyfriend. I also like going with my girlfriends or with my sister. It's nice to know that you're sharing an experience with someone you would later talk with about the movie you saw. If I were going alone, I'd most likely choose to just stay at home and spend my day in front of the computer -- chatting with friends and such. Or maybe answering questions on myLot! It would be more productive and more interactive :)

I enjoy watching movies when I watch it with someone, especially a loved one. I am someone who would not bother to put in a DVD or CD to watch a movie alone. Watching a movie with someone doubles the enjoyment. And oh, I sometimes need someone to wake me up when I doze off while watching a movie at home. The same thing is true with watching movies in a theater. I would not dare go the theater alone to watch a movie. It is so much more enjoyable to have someone to laugh with or cry with while watching a movie. Another thing, it is a lovely thing to chance upon having your hand dig into the bucket of popcorn at the same time as your loved one!

Hi, I always like to watch movies with my friends. We can enjoy watching movie with friends in theaters. But if i like the movie very much then i will go alone and watch the movie alone. But i feel bore at some stages. When we watching with our friends we discuss more about movies and we can able to predict the rank for the movie. When i ask to my friends and if they are not ready to come, i will not compel them to watch movies. simply i postponed my schedule to some other days.

I might do the opposite, but it will be great if a friend can go with me, if not, I won't force him/her either. But if I really want to see that movie that much, I would go by myself too. I won't mind to watch a movie alone. Some of my friend asked me how I do it, I told them, simply purchase a ticket, and enjoy that movie by yourself.

I've never had to go see a movie by myself.. I always have people that want to go with me, and my boyfriend and I like to go see them a lot. I don't think I could go sit by myself for two hours though in a movie theater. It makes me uncomfortable being alone anywhere.

well, often i go to movies all alone.. actually i wanna enjoy the movie, sometimes, we would go with so many friends, even 20 members all together, what will be the result, i cannot see the movies even the front and rear rows cannot watch the movie properly, because that much shouts and comments will be made if we are huge in number. so whenever i want to enjoy an see the movie , i ll just go by myself and enjoy by myself.. this is also a nice experience. happy mylotting..

wow! I've never tried watching alone at the movie theater, although that's on my list to do but still I'm in the process of gaining courage, I know that's a liberating feeling...maybe I'm one day closer to it!

I like going to the movies with my friends, just not my boyfriend. My friends and I chat during the time before the previews start, and while we're watching the previews we exchange comments on whether or not we want to see the movie the preview is about. But once the movie starts we're normally so absorbed in the movie that we don't talk. But my boyfriend is a different story. He always talks, and says things like "Oh, that was beast, that was sweet, did you see that?" Really loud, too. And he'll talk like that through the whole movie, like I'm paying attention to the people instead of the movie. So that's why I like going with my friends, but not my boyfriend. I don't mind seeing a movie by myself, but to me it isn't as fun. I like to have company.

I've gone to the movie theater all by myself but only at the first showing of a movie that's been out for a while so I can be sure there will be minimal people...it's just more relaxing knowing that I can lounge by myself with practically no one in the theater.

I've been to theater solo a few times, and while I'm always nervous in the beginning, by the end of the movie I feel proud that I did something most people are fearful of: Being alone in public. I love watchong movies with my friends or family, but sometimes you just want to venture out on your own. It has to be a movie you really want to see though. If it's disappointing or bad, you'll want to gripe to a friend sitting next to you. I also like going to the drive-in. That's always a lot of fun with a group of people. Plus, its cheaper, and you can often see 2 movies in a row. Did you like 2012? I haven't seen it yet...

I do enjoy watching movies alone, in certain cases. If the movie is in action and sci-fi genre such as Transformers and Star Wars, I rather watch it alone. Reasons for this, you asked? Just as you said, I hate hearing comments and criticisms from my friends DURING the movie. I can go and read all the reviews if I wanted to hear, know or actually care about their thoughts on the movie. It's different with emotionally driven stories, however. I rather watch it with my girl-friend, as we can both share our feelings and strengthen our bonds. I can go to the movie theater alone, as long as they're not screening something that will gross and scare the nuts out of me, such as the Saw series. Well, that's just my two-cents.

Well there were times that I watched a movie in a movie theater all by myself. Those were the times when I was in college and was really fond of some great movies. But now, I have not done it anymore. Meaning I have not watch a movie all by myself. I prefer to bring along my wife or my son. Its much more enjoyable and fun.

Yes, I do enjoy watching movies alone sometimes. I also enjoy watching movies with my husband and with friends, but sometimes, I'd much rather watch a movie by myself. I guess it just depends on my mood, on the day, and such.

I never go to theatre to watch movie, usually I see the DVD copies downloaded for the Internet on my own computer. And I like watchng movies togehter with my friends. If it is a comedy, watching with my frieds will make it more funny, if it is a horror, watching it with my frieds make it not so scary (I am a little timid!). In a word, I like enjoying movies with my friends. In addition, I don't mind if my friends comment on movies whe I am watching them because I usually am not so engaged in it, I mean I like talking with my friends about the actor or the plot when watching movies. After all, there are various differences between people.
