I have a doctor friend that told me they want him to adminster the swine flu shot and write down all the side affects that this causes, and even he wont get this shot. What are your opinions about this subject..

My youngest daughter is going to be offered the Jab simply because she is under 5 years old (her big sister does not get offered because she is almost 6) anyway no she will NOT be having it, she is a perfectly healthy little girl I will not give her something that could potentially make her very sick. I know for some the sickness and pain this jab could cause is prefarable to dieing from swine flu but has a mother of two healthy children i see no reason for them to have it.

I've met someone who's caught the swine flu. The whole point is to keep everyone healthy. Perfectly healthy 20-something adults can be hospitalized from the virus. Because you're healthy now, doesn't mean you're invincible. We're all being strongly advised to get it up here in Canada, too, and in Britain, where it's free. They're not pushing it to make a few bucks on fear.

Hi spiderweb, I decided not to get the shot as I have the same thoughts about it. I really wonder if it is helping or hurting. I hope that there will be no bad side effects a year or too down the road. I don't like something when some doctors feel unsure themselves. Blessings.

yeah thats the problem is you really dont know what kind of effects it might have down the road,I mean I was in the army and recieved so many shots, and to this day I have minor problems that I think was contributed by some of the shots I recieved, so for now as long as I dont catch it im not taking it, just hope by then it wont be to late.

The swine flu vaccine has not been tested and so one would not be able to tell the side effects that it would cause. So its better to be safe and know how to prevent swine flu rather than to take the vaccine have suffer. We would be like the rats on which the experiments are done, i have not gone in for the vaccine for my son too. I donot want to take the risk and wait for the doctors to take out another medicine for the side effects that the vaccine causes.
