Could somebody tell me.....what is the difference between "raw" and "valid" PTP

hits? Say I'm promoting something like.....Incentria. I put my link in various TE's or other PTC sites where I know I've got credits. When I look at my Incentria account it says I had 500 "raw" hits but 238 "valid" hits. What makes a hit "valid"? Also, in regards to PTP...what does CPM mean? I'm a member at various sites that all have different CPM in regards to PTP. Is it Clicks Per...M...? Thanks in advance for any enlightenment!

The sites is actknowledging that you are promoting the site by putting "raw" hits. But it has to check if you placed them where you should. Sometimes we think we are promoting to be paid but the site does not accept the other site or viceversa for promoting. So the only thing you get then is that someone saw your link and you could get a referral if you are lucky.
