Hey guys, Ive been wondering, do you like brutal horror movies? Cause i think nowadays, that is the definition of horror movies. Now, what is the most brutal film that you've ever watched? Is it very graphical? Does it have a good Special effects? Are the effects very detailed that almost look like real? What is the latest and last horror movie that you have watched? Is it brutal or is it a plain horror movie with ghosts and etc.? Anyway, the last horror movie that i have watched really disturbs me, i can't imagine that people can come up with this brutal kind of movies. This is very graphic to the extent i think it is not watchable for 18 below and for people who have weak critical thinking and weak stomachs. The movie title is Grotesque, a 2009 horror movie created by the Japanese. This movie really defines the true meaning of Horror and Brutality. I do not want to talk much about it cause for me it is better that you will be the one to discuss and rate this film. Maybe you can find it not that brutal and scary. It really depends on the person who will watch this, but anyway if you are curious on this movie that i was bragging about, i can give you the links for review and for the movie. Here is the link for the review http://www.squidoo.com/Grotesque2009 and here is the link for the movie http://smartdad.info/Grotesque.aspx it is up to you whether you watch it or not, but if you really find this one interesting and you are curious about it. Watch it! Just please do not watch this movie with children beside you. This graphic content of this movie is much disturbing that Hostel and Saw and even Cannibal Holacaust. That is by my opinion only. I think It is better if you will watch it. Just remember the things that i want to do before watching this movie.

O i see, but you know, aside from being a gory film, this movie also have a bit of a good story, if the viewers will only focus on the story itself not the gore. I like brutal horror movies because movies like this made me think and learn different kinds of personality of people and criminals. I do like studying them. I was used to watch and study this kind of movies since i was a college student. Our professor used to ask us watch movies like this for us to understand their behavior and what makes them do it. Then it caught my interest and till now, i am studying and discovering different minds of criminals and writers behind it.

Oh no, I don't really like the gory horror movies. It is just too violent and brutal for me. Those with all those special effects and costumes stand out too much. I prefer the more subtle psychological horror films to the graphical horror. I just like movies like The Killing Room and The Ring that mess with your mind.

O i see, your not much fun of this kind of movies, but i think the real psychological horror movies are the films who shows very graphic and brutal story and effects. I am a psychologists and i am watching kind of movies to further educate myself and gain new knowledge on different kinds of disturbing people. I find them very interesting to study. Anyway we people are different from each other, that is why still up to us whether to watch this kind of movies for satisfaction or for education. Have a nice day.

Ooo... O well i guess, it is better for you not to watch this movie anymore. Cause this movie have a lots of gore, i think, almost 70 minutes of the movie are non stop torture and gore. The movie is very graphic and detailed. I guess the ring is enough for you to watch or, the eye. They are scary too but in a different horror genre. But you know if you will watch this movies for the sake of education, i am sure you will love watching those.

For you it is, but for me it does, just like what i have said, it is very much related to my course. As i am in the field of studying human behavior. I do not enjoy the gore as much as you do, what caught my interest in this movie is the, behavior of the criminals who are doing this. And the thinking of the writers or what is on the mind of the writer who wrote the story, does he have a problem? or Does he experienced it? I have so many questions in my mind, that i want to answer and needed to be answered. That is why i am watching those. Studying them makes me knowledgeable on how to deal on people like them and what to do if situation like those happens, i am planning to write a book, about that kind of movies and behaviors for people to have knowledge on what are the possible things that may happen and how to deal with those. And of course to prevent people from doing those things. So for me! It is still related in education, anyway, everything is related to education, depending on the person who will perceive it.

I like horror movies but there is a fine line between horror and just disturbing imagery. I appreciate old movies like the original "House on Haunted Hill" but I loved the plot of "Hostel". The movie was gross and graphic but the story was really good. I must be a be a little odd when it comes to what I think is horror because movies like "The Girl Next Door" are much more disturbing to me. The fact that the intense brutality of the movie is real is stunning. The movie, the story is a true one and even at my age I could not watch certain parts of this movie.

Also off topic are you getting paid for people to visit the blog that you linked in your original post? I only ask this because I looked up more on this movie at www.imdb.com and there are no positive reviews of this movie. Everyone seems to agree that it has no plot and is basically just a waste of time. I also found it disturbing that this movie was banned for its content. On the original topic I wanted to say I do enjoy horror but I do not think low rent snuff films are the same thing.

It's just that i think, you can only watch some part of the movie. Or barely watch the whole movie cause it is very graphic and gory. Anyway, if you like you can, it's up to you. I already provided a link at the beginning of the discussion. The link is for review and there is also a link where you can watch the movie. I hope you enjoy watching it. Have a nice day.

No i am not, i just want to share this movie, cause it shows what are playing inside the minds of a psychopath. Another is that, i want to know what will be the people's impression on the movie and about the people who are responsible for creating such. I am also a member of the imdb, but just like what i always tell, they should not judge any movie with a bad criticism, Those movies are being made by those people with full of their ability and commitment, just to make people entertained or send the message to people that nowadays they should be much more careful and vigilant around them. This things happens in real life, and it is better for us to learn what is playing inside the mind of a criminal so that we will know how to deal with them, if ever we meet one.

Hi rjvb26 I must check that movie Grotesque out, Japanese horror tends to be very good and inventive. You have said it is more disturbing than Cannibal Holocaust so now I know I will definitely have to see it I am a big fan of horror films, I have been since I was a kid, you could say I grew up with horror movies. I am not really a big fan of splatter and gore horror, not because I am disturbed by it but because there always seems too little plot or story in them but there are some exceptions. I prefer classic horror or physiological horror, the kind that gets into your head and freaks you out.

Yes the mind of a serial killer is interesting indeed and it is fascinating to see what makes them tick. Have you seen that movie about Ed Gein, it is a good watch, he was the inspiration behind the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. There are many factors that define a killer and from what I have read it seems mostly to stem from their childhood. I checked out the links and this will be a film I will definitely have to see soon, it looks like it would be right up my alley

O yeah we are a bit the same, and of course for me, watching this kind of movies are for education's sake. I want to understand what is really happening inside the minds of the serial killers. And what are they planning and how to avoid them. I am trying to understand their personalities and sufferings why are they doing this? Can they still be cured? Or they are born being a killer? There are so many questions when movies like that are being played here in my room. I focus on to it and study it. By the way, you said you really love movies like these, you can visit the link that i provided, actually the copy there is clear. I provided the link cause it is very hard to find, cause these movies is banned from other countries.

I thought you would be curious about this one, Ive been watching this kind of movies since i was a college. O thanks for the admiration, the reason for studying this kind of stuffs is for my family and my own safety as well. I study this not only because of it is related to my profession but because for some reasons also. I do have the heart to study this cause i need to. So that i will know how to deal with this kind of people. Another thing is that, i am dreaming of becoming a CSi agent whose handling this kind of cases, i find their job interesting and of course i want to save people's lives as much as possible. If only i can be one of those agents i will sure to put my heart on this job and prevent the losses, i will not only discover who the killer is and why did he do that and how did he do that, but i will also prevent future losses. This serial killers have to much burden in their lives that's why they do this kind of things. They are also victims according to my recent studies, victims of this cruel environment created by human beings and by their parents. They cannot be changed as they are already been eaten by such dangerous personality and the possibility of going back to reality is very much impossible. See how interesting they are? Anyway that is only me and maybe it is also because that the orientation of our school in such cases are really different. But try it sometimes for you to be open in any circumstances that may occur and for you to know what will be the possible measures to avoid future losses. We do not know where are those kind of people, they are just roaming around looking for victims that is why it is much better to be prepared than to regret things later. I admire you for being honest. It makes you being a good person. But as much as possible try to conquer your fears and fight it, so that you will become a much better one. Have a nice day.

The graphical content are to gory and very detailed. Very good special effects and nice acting. The last part ins unexpected though. But you will surely enjoy this movie if you are a fan. have a nice day.

I love horror movies especially the ones with lots of blood and gore! I have not seen the one that you have mentioned although you have got me curious now! I would say that the worst horror film I've seen, and it really was graphic, was 'Cannibal Holocaust'. This was a really sick movie and they arranged the special effects so perfectly that it actually looked very real and was more than enough to put me off my dinner! I think that I like to watch a good horror movie on Friday nights with the lights out, this really sets the scene. I think that horror movies aren't as good as they used to be, I do like some of the originals like 'The Omen' and 'Demons', movies like that. Andrew

So you love brutal horror movies, i think you should try this one, actually i cannot compare this movie to that cannibal holocaust thing, cause if we will speak of brutality, for me i find this movie much brutal than it, i manage to watch cannibal holocaust over and over again, but this movie? No... i cannot repeat watching this kind of stuffs, in this movie, they show, every second and minute of the struggles of the victims, very detailed and it is not like other brutal horror movie, torture scenes are very detailed and they really even show the viewers how they torture the victims, slowly, painfully and brutally.

I love horror movies but I am not so much into the brutal bloody ones. I like the creepy scary type movies alot better. Those last few movies you mentiond are very brutal. I have actually only watched a couple of the Saw movies. That's all I needed to watch of them. They are a little to gory for my tastes. The last horror movie I watched was Paranormal Events. It was a little disappointing but goes more along the lines of what I enjoy as far as scary movies go.

I found that movie very good. There was one movie I couldn't help but watch but to be honest...it was really disturbing and there is noway I would watch it again. It was called The Cell. Well rjvb, when I was a kid I used to tease people in the hostel scaring them with a white sheet on me, and a candle lit on a plate and walking in the dark dorm (these girls who used to get scared actually felt it more because they used mosquity nets). Wow, the way they used to scream, I can still remember and smile. But as I grew up I came across violent and such stuff, which I think is not nice. Particularly the psycho killers. Its one thing to do it as a prank, it is another thing to let the mind develop a fear. By that I am not condoning myself. I too may have been wrong, because each person's levels of fear are different.

That is why when i started this discussion i warn all of you first, cause i know this movie will have different effects on different types of person. My main purpose is that, i want to know what will be your reactions and your impression to people who created this movie. I mean how do you see their mind in terms of sickness and brutality. Are they still normal? Or Do they already need help from other people?

This is really sick, i share this movie to you all, cause i wanted to know what will be your impression on the people who are responsible for putting up such movie. Imagine putting up a movie that brutal? O well i do not know if they do this for art but for me, they are already sick.

I totally agree. These people should have been more responsible in expressing their imaginations. They should have considered the possible negative effects on their viewers, most especially those who are so young to decide which are right and wrong to emulate. Let's face it, movie viewers can be only screened in cinemas and theaters. Controls could no longer be guaranteed once the movies have been distributed on DVD/VCD copies or worst, uploaded to the internet. I don't really trust that parents could monitor what their children are viewing hundred percent of the time.

I don't care one way or the other. They don't seem to really be able to make horror movies scary anymore so I think they make up for that by being very gory. I have always enjoyed horror movies; in fact I am a great Stephen King fan! I like the fear factor of horror movies but not the gore. Good horror films can create suspense and excitement for the audience and, although there may be blood they don’t necessarily have to have blood and guts all through them. The worst film I have ever seen in this genre was back in the seventies. The film was the original ‘The Last House on the Left’; it was very graphic and extremely gory and the worst part was that it was a story that could really happen; it was not just about ghosts or monsters but real people hurting other people, which is truly terrifying! Another one I found really scary was ‘Silence of the Lambs’ which is another story that is too realistic for comfort. I enjoy thrills and suspense but definitely not gore!

The movies that you mentioned are really good movies, in fact those movies will play with your imaginations and critical thinking. The last house on the left is truly a graphic one, i already watched it, also the new one. The silence of the lamb is also terrifying, but people will surely be interested on that movie, because of the twist and the mystery behind it. Those movies are really good, they do not have much gore just like the new ones, but the story was great. I also enjoy suspense and thrillers. Thank you for sharing paula27661, we meet again. O yes you are right about that. I am also thinking about what really is in the mind of the writer? Does the writer also have the tendency of being that cruel? Or is he already experienced the kinds of situations? Well i just watched these kind of movies for education's sake not cause being a fun of seeing the gore and girls being mutilated and r-a-p-e-d in a very brutal manner. I find a bit interesting on understanding the behavior if the criminal and what run's on their minds, why are they doing stuffs like those and what will be their next plan and how people can avoid it.

The last horror movie I watched was the hills have eyes 2 and it was very gory and twisted. I hated hostel especially when they cut the guys Achilles tendon and tells him hes free afterwards ... disgustinggg. I think the more old school horror movies are actually scarier, like the shining for instance. The scene where shes trying to escape from the little window while there's a snow drift blocking it, truly scary, that part made me feel like I was going to suffocate.

This is shocking and disturbing than the movies that you stated. I am also a fun but with a different motive, my focus on watching this kind movies are to study the minds of the criminals and study the mind of the writer behind those kind of movies. I love learning cause it makes me a better person and i feel great every time new knowledge will be added to me.
