what do you prefer?? facebook or twitter?? and why?

some people say that facebook is the best way to comunicate with people, and others say that twitter its the same, but more formal..
well,, i dont know how to use twitter,, so i had facebook,,
could you tell me what of both are better? and could you tell me how i try to use twitter?

I have facebook and twitter accounts. You can share a lot more things in facebook, and play games. I use twitter to keep up with my favorite magazines, bands and celebrities. But mainly, I joined twitter because it could be linked to my facebook and old friendster accounts. Anything I post on twitter, automatically sets a new facebook status and new friendster media box update. So I don't have to log on all sites just to update.

i have a question about twitter, when you say that you use to keep up with your magazines, bands and celebrities,, do you know if the celebrities that appeared in this site are real, or fan accounts? because in some pages i read the same,,, do you have a little idea of these?? perhaps my questions sounds like an i*diot, but i dont know these! thanks for the responses!!

Yes, there are fan accounts and posers on twitter. The official accounts of these celebrities and institutions are verified, as in it has a check mark and says "Verified account" next to it. I don't know how that verification process is done, but that's how I know which ones are for real.

hi,alilin,both are same and both have same advantages,but we have know how we utilize them.I got accounts in both sites..Facebook is more social type site than twitter..and twitter we can use to promote our web sites/blogs more than facebook..

I have accounts on both of them but I have to say that I prefer Facebook. It is because I can really socialize on facebook and can even view people's profiles, interests, photos etc. Though twitter is more personal since people get to know what others are thinking or saying, I still feel that the same thing can be done on Facebook plus there are tons of other things to do. Twitter has also become very useful for merchandizers that a lot of twitter users you see around are just "Fauxlowers". there's really not much to do on twitter besides shouting to the world what ever you want. People are doing the same thing which means not much people are actually there to read what other's are saying. :( .
