No no NO way! I could never! It's SOOO hard! I mean, I COULD, COULD become vegitarian if I HAD to. I wouldnt enjoy it because i love meat. haha. but vegan? no way. the limits on what u eat is crazy! ice cream has dairy, so no ice cream, then no cake cuz it has eggs and milk, no dessert really. bread not really. so almost everything u cant eat as a vegan. vegitarian I could possibly do because I would be okay with the nutrition. i enjoy fruits, vegetables and i even enjoy drinking soy milk. so id be fine with that.

Well I don't know if its a fad because not a lot of people are vegans. more are vegitarians. I don't get vegans...most of them I think are in it because they think it will make them lose weight. I don't get why someone would want to be vegan. I get vegitarians because they do not want to kill animals. But vegans, with milk and even eggs no animals get hurt or killed. One of my friends is vegan, and I am very worried about her. because i think she did it because she wants to lose weight. But it's not a good idea because she does not even like fruits or vegetables and you can tell she is getting unhealthy and tired from it.

My niece is a vegitarian because of how animals are treated and killed! She has been a vegatarian over a year now. I'm sure she'll try the vegan thing but how long it lasts we will see! I don't think vegan is a fad and is a good way to lose weight! I also think when you are a vegan it doesn't make a difference in how many animals are killed for meat and all that at other stuff! I think people who become vegan are nuts!

What do you mean by Vegan, is it like completely avoiding animal products, including ghee/ butter, milk, cheese and all. Then It's very difficult to survive on mere vegetables and fruits. In fact in vegetarian food, I count eggs too because they are also pre-life products.

hi blue65 No I could not as I like lean meat and lots of veggies and fruit, lo fat milk, multigrain bread, whole grains and cheese, and I am not going to stop eating some meat every'day as its an excellent source of protein and helps to keep my blood
glucose level down where it belongs. I am a diabetic and will never be a vegan at all. it is fine for those who want to do it but I do not and will not. lol lol

As much as I am an animals lover. I would not be able to be either a vegetarian or a vegan. As I love meat, and hate most vegetables.. I don't think I would be able to eat a healthy or well balanced diet as either. I am not sure I eat a well balanced diet now.. lol
But I understand the reasons for someone becoming a vegetarian and vegan. I just could not do it myself.

i'd find it difficult to become vegan, i am addicted to cheese. i have been vegetarian for most of my life but being vegan is trickier, you have to be careful with your diet to make sure you get enough protein etc. i might consider it at some point but not at the moment. there is another plus side to it though - provided you eat in a balanced way (i.e. not a diet of chips) it is pretty healthy, and i have never met an overweight vegan.
