I like sushi a lot, specially maguro. I like all the kinds of sushi that come from tuna. I must admit that ootoro and chuutoro make me sometimes not wanting to try other kinds of sushi, as it's too delicious! What about you? Have you ever eaten sushi? What is your favourite kind of sushi? If you have never eaten it, would you try?

I LOVE sushi. This past week when the rest of America was celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday with turkey I was trying to get sushi! Salmon is my favorite fish but I like almost every kind of sushi except eel or octopus.

I love salmon and last year I cooked dinner for the first time and we had salmon :-) I was too busy to plan anything this year and my sweetie and I had been working so much we just decided to eat whatever our families cooked, lol.

I'm sure your thanksgiving would have been the most original if you had eaten sushi instead of turkey . Good taste, salmon is really delicious!

I have never eaten sushi and I wouldnt want to! I dont really like fish so raw fish would just be revolting to me! I have been told many times to try it but I just couldnt imagine myself eating it!

If you put lots of say sauce into your fish you would not notice the taste of the fish at all, so you can try that way :). It might look like it will only taste like soy sauce, but I have tried doing so with many different kinds of sushi and the taste always change

Its more the texture of the fish than the taste, I dont like the scales and that. Aslo i cannot eat anything with bone in it so all that has to be taken out first! I am so fussy but thats because I used to have an eating disorder!

You haven't had sushi?! Then you haven't lived, my friend ;-). Sushi is really good, but I do understand why people are hesitant to try it. It's not all raw fish, so there's the good news. You can even have a completely vegitarian sushi roll to start off with (like the California roll... that just has cucumber, cream cheese, and carrot, maybe... no fish though). Also one of my FAVORITE rolls is the Unagi Roll. Now I'm going to describe it to you, but don't let what I'm about to say scare you.... It's COOKED fresh water eel (it doesn't have a weird texture at all, and I often get weirded out by the texture of food), with cucumber and this really good sauce. It's definitely worth a try! You never know, if you try it once you may turn into a sushi fanatic!!!

Sushi can be made with raw fish, but also with other ingredients, like veggies or omelette, for people who dislike fish too

Hi madteaparty I belong to a particular caste, where taking any NV is prohibited and even egg is considered to be a NV. So neither I have seen nor heard about sushi and I am afraid I will ever have it. But nice topic indeed.

I'll die for California Maki and anything that has salmon as long as I have soy, mayonaise and wasabi as sauce. Wow! So mouth-watering. I'm so hungry!!!

I'm not a big fan of mayonnaise, but I'm with you with salmon. It always makes delicious sushi!
