Why people watch cricket 7 hour long sports game?

I was also surprise to listen 5 days game format, i was also surprise to see full packed cricket stadium in television, You get bored easily or not? Why this game is so popular especially in south Asia?

cricket is actually not a 7 hour sport. It is 9 or something.If it is test match then the game lasts for 7 hours for 5 days.You asked "why cricket is popular in south asia". It is like asking "why football is popular in europe".And cricket is a very good sport for retired people and older people because they get entertained for 5 days :)

Football is 2 hours game while cricket is as you are saying 9 hours game, You get bore easily or not? Because this is too time consuming game.

If you love the game then you wont get bored.Many people in south asia watch cricket continuously for 8 hours without any break!Like i said,it is good for older people since they have way too much time in their hands.But sadly most of the cricket watchers are youngsters.

I live in uk and enjoy cricket, although I am not that bad that I am upset if I miss any lol, I just think cricket is a game that you can sit back and relax too and watch the game without being too animated lol,

Hi umer5222, Yup me too think the same way, Me too a cricket fan, But if I like any player's game I'll just sit before the TV and watch it. If I get some work I'll go for it...! I think that people are so crazy about the game..! So that they can leave all the other things for the game...!
