what trees are good for bonsai?

i have one bonsai plant and want another one. its a ficus bonsai plant. i want something different. i live in arizona any ideas?

Miniature spruce or pine of some kind are usually the best. Check with your local greenhouse and see what they suggest............

I think Oranges can be grown successfully in a place like Arizona and they make good bonsais as well!

i would look in to the red japanese maple there so cool looking but really expensive
