To me? it is not wrong to remind them to follow mylot rules if they keep on asking so many things which are so much clear in the rules if they read it. The problem with some new comers is that they don't find time to read the rules they just keep on asking the old members here. Well, it is not sin to ask but to the details of everything they keep on asking? they should read the rules so that they would be able to keep in mind what is the right thing to do not just rely from others.

We should read the rules so we know what is expected of us. I did, I do help people if they need it but rules and FAQ and so on is there for a reason!

I do not think it is wrong at all to suggest to new members of Mylot, to follow the rules here. I think they should be greatful for it if we are not saying it rudely to them.

If some one asks for clarification of a rule, I have no problem helping them. Sometimes the interpretation of some rules is a little fuzzy, especially to some one struggling to learn English. On the other hand, we are all human and we all sometimes break a rule without thinking. I catch myself (usually right after I post a reply), and I've seen it in other members, both new and not-so-new. It happens. I would no more point out small errors (unless asked to) than I would point out a blemish on some one's face. Sometimes courtesy is to see, but pretend not to see.

hello there! i guess there's nothing wrong when we suggest the newbies to follow the mylot rules and read the FAQ & guidelines... coz i think that's the least we can do to help them enjoy and get the best out of mylot... i think instead of being annoyed, they should be thankful that there are people guiding them to do well here... when i am new here, i really appreciate and love every advices that the seniors give me and i think they really help me getting the best out of this beautiful site! so i am thankful to all those people who suggest me to follow the mylot rules! good day! cheers!

1) When joining ANY website, it is *common Sense* to read ALL of the rules to make sure that while you're on the site, you don't break the rules. 2) Not all of the "senior" members made the same mistakes, a lot of them read the rules. 3) Just because someone tells you to read the rules doesn't mean they are being rude. They might just be trying to help. They COULD just REPORT you instead of warning you, then you could get banned from the site.

It is true Baluyadav, we all go through the same evolution of learning, few of us read the rules, and even if we do, they can change or we forget. And we should offer to others the same respect we might like to receive ourselves. How are you my friend, I have been missing for a while and need to catch up, it happens every now and then.

When we are new to a site, though FAQ and Rules are listed, many doubts will arise for many. If a newbie asks doubts, let us explain in a polite way. After all we too were new once. No one asks doubts purposely. If they put forth doubts, clear them if you want otherwise let us keep quiet. Other members will definitely help them.
