Tiger Woods and his Privacy

Why is it that the media feels the need to blounce on a story and keep going with it for days. Doesn't he deserve privacy. Do we really care what has happened to Tiger Woods personal life. If he was seriously hurt and still in the hospital sure. However that is not the case. Whatever happened is between him, his wife and family. Every show on TV is dealing with this story from Prime News, Nancy Grace, Issues, and The View. Do we want to hear the cell phone or email messages, NO! Isn't there more important things happening in the world at this time then the personal life of Tiger Woods. Why can't he just be left alone to deal with his problems and work them out himself, without others trying to give their opinion as to what he should do or not do. This is so ridiulous.

Thank you for this! I actually turned off my tv because I got so so sick of hearing about this. I don't know the man personally and him having affairs does not affect me in the least. As a woman...I felt bad for his wife...not only the affairs but because of the stupid publicity. This is the same thing they did with Clinton. It's a marriage issue and should be left for the two of them to deal with. It appears that the news has become equivalent to the tabloids when it comes to delving into the personal lives of rich and famous. I mean look what happened with Clinton. That was a set up and carried out to the point that it distracted the whole country of things that were so much more important.

You are so right. It doesn't change either it just keeps getting worse. Every show I put on started off with this story and kept going. I know there are so many other things happening in the world today that is so much more important. Thank you so much for responding.

I sooo agree with this... but on the other hand, its their job to report celebrity flaws...its the reality that if your a showbiz persona, you are almost not entitled to a private life...unless you disappear in thin air without letting anyone know even your closest friends where in the world you and your family is going....lol

Its a shame that its this way. I feel it has gotten worse in the past 10 years. Celebrities to me deserve their privacy. Its just not right that their lives have to be an open book to the media. Thanks for responding.

The media has to make a mountain out of molehill. I just wish the tables would turn one day and see how they like it.

Its a shame I agree (reality bites), but this media people would not have a scope if it weren't for these celebrities' flaws...but I do agree also that they should have a private life, its enough said that there is something wrong out there with Mr. Woods, and they should not dig on it anymore... who cares about the damn voicemail anyway ^___^ it did not even say I love you or something the like...

I totally agree with you. We are hearing as much about this as we did for the President of the United States. I don't know why they have to keep dwelling on ruining peoples lives. It is their business.

Well I think its should be just about their acting or golf. We don't need to know their personal business. Really who cares. Plus everyone is human everyone makes mistakes. There is not one person on this earth that can say they never made a mistake or an error of judgment. Thanks for responding.

hi lelin1123,it's just so sad that woods is a very famous man and that's the reason media are always after him. but i hope that media would just leave him alone. nobody's perfect and he's also just human like anybody else who did mistakes. they should give him the respect of privacy and he awe us nothing.

Yes he deserves his privacy just like everyone else who is a celebrity. Its just not right that the media is all over the place with this story. Who cares what he does in his private life. That is only his wife's business. Thank you for responding.

I am glad that he is taking action to keep his personal life private; as it should be. Just because you are a celeb does not mean that you want your personal issues out to air for millions of people to see! He and his wife took their vows before God...and thats who matters...him, his wife, his children...not thousands of camera happy people looking to capitalize on him and his current situation. I am glad that he is taking the high road and is trying to hold on to what little bit he has. There have been too many instances of this issue occurring lately for example Jon Gosselin and Shaq...I hope that he and his wife do whatever works for them.

I* agree with you, after they said he was in a accident, and that he was ok. that should have been all that was said, His personal life should be his. Just like my personal life should be mine, and your personal life is yours. The media is getting so out of hand on stuff like that. You would think that they could come up with better things to report on.

Hello lelin. It's hard not to talk about the life of the golf master since he is the "Master" of golf. You are right about the fact that there are still lots of things to talk about but you cannot also deny the fact that Tiger Woods' private life is a hot topic. Tiger Woods should have been more careful with his actions since he is a public figure already. For every celebrity, they should be prepared to be tailed by paparazzi and ridiculous issues about their life because it is show-business.

My thing is it shouldn't be that way, because I'm so tired of hearing of every famous person, sports, actors, politician and there problems that should be private. I think Tiger Woods should only be in news when it comes to playing golf and his charity events. The media and the paparazzi are out of control. How would they like it if the cameras and reporting were turned on to them. They wouldn't like it one bit. Thanks for the response.

I agree with this statement. We need to leave people lives alone. He shares his talent with us on how he plays golf and we should leave it at that. We do not need to know what goes on behind doors. If he was sleep walking would we care. I am a little corouse about the girls coming out. Why was it a secret before and now it is not a secret you had an affair with a married man. It should have never happen. I guess money talks. I guess they were paid very well to speak truth or not. Happy Lotting.

That is another point that I didn't touch on. Why would any women in her right mind want to disclose she had an afair with a married man. That in itself is very tacky. To me they are only looking for fame which to me is disgusting to want to be known for sleeping with Tiger Woods especially when you knew he was married. Shame on all of them. Thank you for responding.

well i just know this is one of the methods the media uses to get its own popularity but those who work for such cooperations should not forget that they too can become a news icon some day. It is said what goes around comes around

This is true and we saw that with David Letterman. How he would joke about things concerning other celebrity and their problems. Then it did come to backfire. Thanks for responding.

it thought only here in our place things like that will happen. i think one of the consequences of being popular is dragging along the personal life of the person. we have one very popular person not only here but around the world, recently he is in a hot topic because of apparently having another woman. i guess that is the price of being popular.

Just goes to show that it doesn't matter what you're famous for, as long as you're famous there's no privacy. I always hope for these types of things to blow over but they usually don't. We still get Jon and Kate drama once in a while even. I do agree that Tiger Woods should deal with these personal matters without the hassel of media broadcasting every detail.

lelin1123, I think the fact that he is currently the most celebrated and successful celebrity in the world I just do not think he can be spared here. Let's not forget the fact that he is currently the most sort after spokesman for golf and the most looked upon role model who is deemed to be as impeccable as his golf game. So, you cannot blame what has happened here and that it had gone out of hand. I agree that Tiger Woods should really be left alone to deal with his transgressions but on the other hand you just cannot stop the media and press launching a frenzy tirade, especially when Tiger had lit a fire in the jungle here. I just hope that it will subside and that his family will recover in good time especially for his children who are so young. Have a nice day.

Yes I understand what you are saying but it shouldn't be like that for him or for anyone else famous or not, in my opinion. The media and paparazzi are totally out of control and I'm just so sick of it all. Thanks for your response and you too have a great day!

I agree with you definitely. Enough already about him, and I really pity his wife and the mother. What they must been going through right now. I wouldn't say if what Tiger did was correct at all (if really it is), but it's really his business to deal with and to be with his wife in this difficult times. He would really need all the privacy if not, how can he ever solve the matter with his wife and family. Some discreetness has to be given..so I say enough already.

I personally couldn't care less who he's sleeping with. I will say if he had behaved himself & been home w/his wife instead of out screwing around none of this would be happening to him. I do feel sorry for his wife but i don't feel sorry for him.

Hello lelin...I absolutely agree with you. Well, I guess it is just a "media scope". Tiger Woods is somewhat like a public property, should he is not a renown figure no media would grab that issue. It is obvious, media are riding on the publicity of Tiger Woods to earn of course. Tip: If you want your private life not to be divulged publicly never join in the limelight... just be a simple and law abiding citizen.. Mobhomier
