In what position do you pray? Do you kneel when you pray or in whatever position you are in? It has like been weeks since i have last prayed. i used to be a prayerful person not any more though. despite my lack of prayer i still believe in the power of prayer. I still believe that it can move mountains, not the prayer itself is the powerful, but because i Believe that God is powerful and he honors prayers. So when was the last time you prayed? is it still an important part of your life?

I prayed last night but sometimes I forget to pray. I believe in God and I believe He listen to our prayers. Prayer is very helpful to us so we have attachment to God. I agree prayers can move a mountain and prayer is very powerful. I don't usually kneel except when I'm in church I only pray when I'm on bed.

that is right. we should not much worried about what time of day that we pray. but as long as our prayers are true and sincere. and sometimes we don't feel we are sincere at all and we feel guilty. but don't judge your self too early. just keep praying even if you feel that you are not worthy enough. GOd knows our hearts and God will hear us if we keep on praying. no one is worthy enough but of course still prayer is not easy many times. i can't say i am successful in praying through . but we need to if we want real answers to our prayers.

Hi, there. I recently open my heart again to Him. Everyday i pray. I start my morning with a prayer before doing something else. Every night before going to bed i pray the Rosary but last night was different.lol I went home late, tired and sleepy to pray but i have to. So, i seat and started to pray, unconsciously i fell asleep, lying in the sofa with Rosary on my hand. when i wake up i can't remember what mystery i was so i start all over again but still fell asleep again and again.lol I think I repeated it three times before i finished the entire prayer.

The last time I prayer what just a couple of hours ago as I pray every morning as I am thankful my God has blessed me with another new day. I do not kneel as I pray/talk to God very often during day and am not in a situation where I could kneel even if I wanted to. God hears me regardless of what kind of physical position I am in.

the act of thanking God for each day that passes by is a lost art already. we must learn to get back to this practice as blessing God releases numerous at God's disposal. but i don't do that thing any more but sometimes i just whisper a prayer of thanks to God out of my appreciation for keeping me safe

I do not pray. And I do not go in churches. I talk with God every day in my mind and live my life as his rules. I believe in mine God who is in me, and that give me a power in life. Real prayer for me is a strong faith that something is possible to happen. It is not a prayer that can move mountains it is your faith in it.

My country is a very religious country. Since I was brought up under a religious family, under a religious country, until the age of 12, I was forced to got to church and pray to God every Saturday and Sunday. When I started questionning my religious beliefs I felt that praying had become not such an important thing in my life anymore because most of the things that I prayed for had never came true. So, as I grew older, I prayed less and less until eventually I stopped praying because I had stopped believing in faith.

I used to pray when i go to sleep, but i haven't been praying since the last 4 years. I need an excuse to go to God and say that i am sorry for all the sins i have done. Due to the lack of prayers i have been experiencing lack of concentration and i do feel the need of prayers alot.

I believe that prayer is being aware of and in communication with God, which I am throughout the day. In the evening, I usually have a time that I focus on God more and talk with Him about everything. Not only can prayer move mountains, it can keep us open to what God is doing and what He is teaching us daily. I hope you get back into the habit of prayer.

yeah that is really true. that definitely God can move mountains. and with the present condition of our world today. with all the war and confusion the world is now in, i think we need a prayerful people who will ask God to move these mountains of problems bombarding the world that is affecting each one of us.

I pray or talk to God all the time. I can be outside taking my dogs out and I will talk to him. I believe that praying is like having a conversation with God. So, I talk like he's in the room with me. I also believe in the power of prayer. I tell my kids all the time, that when they want to pray to just talk to him like he's in the room and that he's a friend. It makes it easier to pray.

Like food to the body, prayers is food for my soul. It has become a habitual affair for me to pray everyday. When I was still a kid my parents sent me to live in a convent with the nuns. The nuns have instilled in me a prayerful life. So it has now become part of my life.

ah ok. i guess that those nuns really have lasting influence in your belief and it is really great that you were able to get them this prayerful habit. i think that we need to instill that habit to young children today. they need to learn it early in life.

I prayed yesterday, or should I say last night. I don't pray three or four times a day, or even daily to be honest with you. I usually do pray at least three or four times a week though. I try to think positive thoughts, and also believe in the power! I usually just close my eyes and pray. When I am hurting really bad, I will usually bow on my knees and pray. But usually whatever position I am in when I think about it, is the position that I remain in during my prayer.

it is really great that you can still pray 3 times a day at least i hardly pray at all now. i need really to pray again. it is not easy to pray you know. praying is not that hard but sometimes to get my motivation back is really hard.

it is nice praying while sitting up on bed. but i can't pray that way not unless it was just some sort of short prayer. but for longer prayer i don't want to pray lying down or sitting down the bed or else i might feel sleepy and just fall asleep instead of praying.

It depends on what sort of prayer it is. If I'm praying a Rosary and I'm in church, I'll kneel on the kneeler. If I'm at home praying my Rosary, I'll normally sit (at least until I get enough money to buy a $200+ individual kneeler), either on a chair, on the floor, or on the edge of my bed. If I'm praying a shorter prayer, then I'll do it pretty much anytime, anywhere, doing anything.

When I am in church and do formal prayers I kneel but most of the time in whatever position I am. Most of the time Ive been talking to God in my mind and wherever I am. My mom raise me to have faith in God and believe in him. I'm not only praying when I need something from him but thanking him everyday. Telling him whats in my mind and asking guidance. This is an important part of my life as always.

Just one hour back :) We pray five times a day, and a congregational prayer at Friday noon time. The main prayer is called 'Salah'(Swalat). Which having certain procedures:- { Stand Face towards the Ka'aba in mecca, with intention make a pledge, recite the opening supplication from Quran, and a part of Quran, then bow with hands on knee and praise the god by his greatness , then stand up again, then prostrate two times by placing face and hands on the floor and praise the God by his highness. The above mentioned is one unit of prayer, there are different number of units for each prayers of 5 times. 2 at morning, 4 at noon, 4 after noon, 3 after sunset, 4 in the evening/night. In the last unit of prayer we sit and pray for blessing to Prophet Mohammad and his family and a prayer for us. And prayer is finished by facing to right and left sides by saying 'Peace be on you' } There are other type of prayers, we can ask God for forgiveness, for good, for family, friends, for eternal life, etc anytime anywhere. The congregational prayer is offered friday at noon time, all people will be gathered in a mosque around them, a speech will be made (with some criterias) on relevant subject to the time and two unit of the prayer 'Salah' will be done all together. Prayer is an important part of our life, There is no meaning to say one is a Muslim without prayer. May almighty God guide us all to the right path (This is a prayer too) Peace.

Well I have to pray 5 times a day but unfortunately I don't. I'm feeling ashamed while I'm saying so. So I'm going to go pray now. The last time I prayed was yesterday, Friday afternoon prayer. I believe in God with all my heart, mind and soul. Yes, prayers are a very important part of my life. Also people need to clear out this misconception of being religious. These days being religious is misunderstood with being superstitious!! I mean that's the most nonsensical thing I've ever heard. I'm a believer and not superstitious.

I prayed almost everyday. Because I know this is the way to talk with God. And ask his blessing in our daily life. I think the last time I pray is an hour ago before I log in here...Have a nice day!

Uhm....that question seems to be hard to answer...honestly,i seldom pray...or maybe sometimes i totally forgotten how to pray...maybe in school i can pray but outside it i dunno...but despite of that fact...i never even forgot the power of it...especially during my hardships, thinking there's no one else to help me...with just saying his name and asking for a guidance makes a feel a little bit better

I pray everyday, there is no particular time for me to pray and not even any particular position. For me prayer means to thank God for all that He has given and and to ask all that I deserve to get,to lessen the pain of people who are very sad due to some or the other reasons.Prayer is so powerful if we have faith in it.
