Rules for a first date

During the summer I went through a divorce and im starting to date again. Yesterday I went on a first date with a guy. I have been talking to this guy for awhile now, but honestly didnt think he would end up being my type. I have been really nervous about dating again and letting anyone in. Ive gone to play mini golf before so when he suggested it I was thinking this date is going to be so boring. He had me laughing and feeling so comfortable within the first five minutes. After we played mini golf we ended up at Chillis for drinks. I realized very quickly that this guy was different from the guys im use to. It seems I always end up with guys that just care about themselfs. After this date my standards have been raised on rules for a first date or any date. He opened every door for me from the beginning including the truck door. He paid for everything told me to order whatever I wanted and not worry about it. He waited until almost the end of the date and asked if he could hold my hand and sit next to me. Then when he dropped me off he said I hope this isnt to soon, but I was wondering if I could have a kiss. He said I just want you to know that I respect you. He also informed me he wouldnt try to get physical with me unless we became a couple. Its amazing how he seemed to know my ever thought even on a first date. He has already asked me on a second date and im sure that I will be going on this date.
