With the group been decided for the 2010 Fifa Worldcup...........Kaka's Brazil has been drawn to the group of death along with.......Drogba's Ivory Coast............ and Christano's Portugal.......... and minnows North korea................. Is this mean that Brazil's chances of qualifying to the knock out phase has decreased??????? Will we see the exit of the 5 times world cup champions to exit from the group stage????

I don't think that's a killer group for Brazil. North Korea won't get any points here, but comparing it to the other two teams, I think Brazil has most chances of qualifying. I don't think they will beat both the Ivory Coast and Portugal. Brazil seem to do that - they don't start very well, but they reach their best form as the tournament advances. I think Brazil and Portugal will go through, although I hope the Ivory Coast will make us the surprise of qualifying and sending the Portuguese home.

That's true, luck is part of the game, and the Ivory Coast lacked it during the past World Cup. I think this will be the last chance of their generation - most of the players have grown old and they won't get another chance. We'll see the shape the African teams are in at the 2010 African Nations Cup in Angola.

Its hard to envisage any of the three teams in that group beating Brazil when it really matters. They will know exactly what to expect from the Portuguese, Ivory Coast will have about 30% possession, there only hope of doing anything is to get the ball to Drogba as quick as possible. Brazil eat teams like North Korea for breakfast, they set out to humiliate them. Honestly, Brazil probably won't even concede a goal in that group.

Not, being over confident, I don't even want Brazil to get through. Rarely does a World Cup go by where Brazil does not thrash a team, like China in 2002. South Korea was at home in 2002, and extremely lucky with ref decisions North Korea are the worst team at the World Cup! Did you see the recent match between Brazil and England? How much possession did England have? And how many EPL players do England have? Melo, Gilberto Silva, Kaka and plenty of width are very hard to get the ball from. What did Ivory Coast have problems with at the last World Cup? Winning and keeping the ball. Not enough teamwork, players not running for each other, not taking responsibility. Despite all the hype they had, their goals in the last World Cup came against the run of play. You put that against a team that strangles the midfield and attacks with ease...your looking at Ivory Coast learning where they really sit on the footballing food chain.

U r being over confident...................... Yes North Korea is a weak team........bt they have qualified for the world cup and will play out of there skin................ So who knows they might spring out a suprise the South Korean's in the 2002 world cup....................And speaking of ivory Coast..............they have more EPL players in there team than Brazil...........So telling that they will have 30% ball possession is the worst thing i have ever heard................. Brazil may win the match against Ivory Coast...............bt will have to play out of there skin............

One thing I find in Brazil in the World Cups is that they do take their games a little reluctantly. It is the case with most of the teams. They do not want to show their full strength from the beginning. I was indeed a little shocked when I saw Brazil's group. It is a difficult one and I believe that Portugal and Brazil will have to work hard to reach the knock out stages. After all they are the favorites from the Group. Ivory Coast and North Korea are the dark horses. Although Ivory Coast has Drogba, but I think the team does not qualify to be in the standard of either Brazil or Portugal. Having said that, this is World Cup and every one is equal. I really hope I will get to see some quality football from quality players.

I think it will be very tough for brazil. They have to take every game seriously right from the day one of the match.Else they will be in trouble cause both portugal and ivory cost have a very strong squad. So those two games are very vital for brazil if they have to qualify their group stages and you cannot neglect the minnows korea too. they can pose some difficulties for brazil in their qualifying. So its tough go for brazil right from the starting.

I do think that the Brazil's Group is about as hard as Germany's group. One favourites, one on form Serbia, one on form African(Ghana) and Australia. Portugal performed really badly in qualifiers, they might easily flop in this tournament.

Well I think it is sure win for brazil to get both ivory coast and portugal , if you have seen portugal match they have problems scoring goals recently and for ivory coast can even dominate in their africa couterpart yea . It is better than getting england and Italy.

goodday007, Nothing can be taken for granted in a tournament where every qualifier has their merit and just because a group does not have another season campaigner does not mean it is easy meat. However, to be fair and judging from all the matches played during the qualifiers I feel that Brazil's performance has been up to expectation and consistent. Frankly, the team has been impressive and the results does speak for them. IMO, as long as Brazil does not have major injury problems on their key players and be over complacent then it will be very exciting to see them to the finals.

I think on the contrary Brazil's chances have improved. They will have to take all their matches very seriously and cannot be complacent.they will have to play good soccer to beat these teams and we should be treated to some great soccer from the wizards. The tough draw shall also help Brazil peak at the right time in the tournament and go for the kill.

It will be one of the more difficult groups Brazil has faced to get to the knock out phase, but I think they will make it. They will have stiffer competition, but I think they and the Ivory Coast will make it out of group play.
