I think it is an impossiblity as we are human, we think differently and are incapable of not having differences. It is a nice dream, but one that will not become a realty. The only way to rid the caste, race and religion conflict is to create a "robot world" and then we would not be human. Because we are human, there will always be someone who attempts to be a "leader", someone to create rules of their own desires, what is good for one is not good for all and whether it is caste, race or religion, there will be conflict. We humans are selfish in we want for ourselves and although some try to think of others, not all do. Honestly, I believe it would be a boring world. Conflict helps us to learn and we if do not learn, we do not grow and we become stagnate. Spirit, mind and body.

Well, just think, we can become a robot world and what we are doing right now, right here on myLot will no longer exist. You will not have the ability to think for yourself, you will not think any differently than anyone else and myLot would lose it's reason for being. There will be nothng to discuss. What a bleak outlook, if I cannot "live", what is the point of life?

MJ_Dakota, I think sometimes we forget that human behavior, or more accurately the dominant actions, are a reflection of what a particular society encourages. Although selfishness is human nature, a holistic view (think of more than just the self) is, as you somewhat hinted at, as well. The difference is certain societies encourage selfishness over selflessness, via its media, laws, familia structures, economy, etc. I agree with you that human beings use categories to better understand the world and thus certain divisive titles like race, religion, nation (although not necessarily these) will always serve some type of function, humans are not slaves to this. What I mean is, if we encouraged people to think more rationally, be more critical in how they interact, then these things will not be tools for exploitation.

I think these things will diminish in the near future. With the internet, faster transport system and globalization, interaction between people belonging to different culture and background will increase. So as more and more people get to know each other, these barriers will naturally weaken.

peaceful there is no doubt about that, however i have to disagree the concept of religion. 90% of a religion is the same as other religions over the world.. the religious parties fight over the minute 10% difference. Similarly, religion does bring a sense of spirituiality to the world, and gives people a sense of faith. It's also the origin of every single law present over the world. Whilst im not religious, i detest the fights but i respect the faith and loving nature that having belief can bring to some people.

Oh dear, you are not aware of Asian Countries, we have lot of religions here, and even in Christianity itself, we have many groups, and 90% of religion in this world is not the same, because over 24% are musilms, 16% are chatholic christians, 5% are protestants and so on.. So, we have many groups within a religion itself.. Now we don't have sense of spirituality, rather politics in every church, mosque, temples etc..

Not to but in Arun, but I believe what Sataness met by 90% of religion being the same is that the basic concepts within those religions are similar. While there may be variety among the official name, they generally have a basic philosophy when it comes to how worshipers should behave, they all share a basic moral code (no killing, stealing, etc.), ect. It wasn't to say that 90% of people have the same religion, but that all of the different religions have similarities.

So you would burn down the churches if you were in office? COMMUNIST LIVING IS NOT PEACEFUL LIVING FRIEND. In a world where you are with Christ you find your true peace and without Christ you have NO peace. Let people have their religions but let us Christians also praise the Holy God in our church wiping out religion is not the answer. False relgion needs to be avoided and f enough people find the truth then the false religion will be exposed. God hates false religion "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the father is this,To visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction, and to keep unspotted from the world. James 1:27(KJV) Religion is not the problem satanic counterfeit relgion is the problem. Holiness religion True Christianity is not the issue my friend. God is real andh e is affecting people in every nation SAME GOD ONLY GOD FATHER SON HOLY GHOST GOD!

I am not against the religion, but I hate the persons who cheat the people in the name of religion... When you look into the Christianity, how many categories we have, 1. Protestant 2. Catholic 3. Pentecostal 4. AFC (All For Christ) 5. AG (All For God) and some even worship MARY.. and still it goes on.. I hate these categories, why these categories arose, it is for the welfare of the Money Crocodiles (rich peoples) right?? Think about this..

Many things start off as a dream. Remember that it is our actions which maintain our current reality, not the other way around. I think when people realize this, they can work toward what "realists" consider mere fantasy. Now before anyone jumps to conclusions, world peace, as in no more murder, hate ect. will not happen, but we certainly can eliminate quite a bit of the issues which contribute to these things with constant vigilance and the kind of hope that includes action.

I think it would be interesting. I'm not sure that it would be peaceful and lovely; I think that humans will always fund a way to define "otherness". For example, in politics. Or in football; curse those United fans! I absolutely support the abolition of organised religion, of caste and of race. The world would be a better place without such obvious dividing lines present in society. To this end, I think the Soviet attempt to dissolve such institutions was laudable, though the practice somewhat bloody. I hope - very strongly - that in the 22nd century, humanity will have abandoned such illogical and insidious attempts to divide our collective endeavour. Instead, we can focus on the class struggle!

Hey MJay, do you mind elaborating on the subject of the Soviet attempt? Where do you think they went wrong? I recently read a book about a state sponsored feminist attempt, which took place in Mao's China. The author said this effort failed because it: (A) Attempted to erase the feminine, and champion the masculine (in a sense erasing biological ideals regarding females), as opposed to eliminating traditional gender roles to allow both men and women to have equal access. (B) Was guided by a kind of patriarchy, which is pretty counter to feminism anyways. and (C) Never addressed the double work shift women faced. They worked outside along side men, only to come home and work there without adequate assistance from their male counterparts.

Sounds interesting - would you mind letting me know the title of the book you read? As regards state-sponsored attempts at cultural engineering (ow whatever you wish to call it), I think their use is somewhat limited. In Mao's China, for instance, feminism somehow became infected with patriarchy... I think they had the right idea in Soviet Russia; in the years immediately after the revolution, it was the most progressive state on earth in this regard (with various legislation passed to guarantee rights, etc.), and serious attempts were made to break down the boundaries between gendered identities. Against organised religion, the Soviet state passed a whole load of decrees ending the traditional interdependence of church and state; the 'traditional' iconoclasm of the Russian people was taken to hilarious extremes in the annihilation of various churches and temples; and priests themselves were legislated against. Sometimes killed - hence, bloody. Still, they had the right idea (separation of church and state, rejection of superstition, destruction of tradition, etc.).

I am against to caste and racism. Religion as a guidance from God to live in, I strongly believe it. As an answer to your question, It will be like metro city road without any traffic rules.

Although the idea of a utopian world would be nice. I don't think that it is possible for human beings. Were we to eliminate caste, religion and racism from the world, we would just find other things as human beings to cause controversy in the world. I think that as humans we need to have some degree of controversy in our lives to thrive and since we've all dealt with it throughout our lives we would be missing something without it. However, were the human race able to start fresh, I think that it would be possible and be very nice.

While some of that has a dark side, well all of it has a dark side actually it would make the world a dull place. Some of those things help define who we are as humans. Because while humans in general have the same features that define them as being such we also have a higher frame of mind. We can actually feel and think things for ourselves and express those feelings, thoughts, and emotions, however unfavorable it might be. Sure there is bad in the world, bbut without it, the good wouldn't exist nor would it give us something to fight for.
