Wanting to spend christmas with him and the troubles

so last month me and my fiance had planned to spend the week before christmas together the 17th to the 22nd..because he wanted to spend christmas with his family..he goes to college and lives two hours away so i understood that..but now he wants to cut back our time together because he is going out of state with his parents to his familys house..which i understand but he would be leaving the 23rd..it doesnt feel fair to me since we had our plans and i took off from work just to spend those days with him..now im upset and he is cussing at me...am i blowing this further then it should? do i have a right to be upset?
