I have always dreamed of doing ice skating because I do think this is fun. But, I feel sad because it's impossible for me to experience this kind of sport here in our country. I am from Philippines, a tropical country---no snow, no winter. All we have here is rainy and summer season. I got used to these seasons though. Somehow, I would like to experience winter season so I can try doing some activities I haven't tried since I was born.

Are you anywhere the SM Megamall? Or the SM Southmall? I am not in the Philippines, but I believe the ice skating rinks there do still exist. So if you can make a trip out there, you can make your dream come true! These are indoor rinks of course. Where I live, it's never like a true Winter, so we don't have outdoor ice skating rinks (only artificial ones), but luckily we have many indoor rinks in and around here. Hope you get to try it!

Are there any public ice rinks you can go to? It might cost a bit to rent skates and gain admission, but it would be better than nothing. I've also heard a few professional ice skaters say that just plain roller skating is good practice. Don't give up, and don't ask the weather to change for you (Because I really doubt it will.).
