we all have hectic lives so much happening so many people having to work and go to university and do so much, that a lot of times there just isn't much time to do anything. Do you as a family get a chance to have a family night together, where you may play games, or watch movies together or whatever, a time when everyone is home at the same time? If so what do you do for family night and why?

When the Children where Younger we used to sit at Night for a bit when I would come home from Work and watch TV or Talk as they got older and where able to stay up longer we used to talk about our Day or if there where anything they needed to talk to me about we would talk it through so yes I always made sure I had time for them

My family's probably the farthest thing possible from close.. My mom and her boyfriend barely even watch television together, lol. My boyfriend and I actually have game nights though a lot. We either get a neat video game and play or we bust out the board games and play those all night long while we watch movies.. Like card games and whatnot. It's fun. :) I actually enjoy game nights and family nights. They're nice. I wish my family did them more.

No, we don't. We are together for a while after dinner and interact but that is all. I can't stay with the family if they get really animated or are arguing. I can see them seperately but not all together unless they are all being quiet and are in harmony. It is because of my severe depression and anxieties.

Yes the lady I look after and I sit down at 7 pm or so and watch a movie or I read to her..Usually we end up watching a kid or non violent family movie and having a small snack of either cut up vegetables with a dip some times or some times as a treat a small bag of chips.

We usually manage to have Sunday evenings to ourselves. As it is our son is only 10yrs so no college or univ for us as yet, but yes hubby does go on tours and on weekdays, its so hectic with our own schedule and school work and such that there’s hardly any time to sit back and breathe easy. Sunday evenings are the time when the pace is slow, some special food is cooked and everybody’s at home either lazying around or playing games together on the net or watching the TV or just plain chatting and arguing over everything under the sun LOL

We've done it long before when I was still at our hometown at our younger years. In fact I miss those good old days at our province with my parents. We always did it at full moon night. We just had a talk of whatever topic while some of us playing under the moon light. Recently, we seldom have it anymore because maybe we are (with my family) already living in the city which has a big difference if you're living in the province.. Nice topic...thanks Mobhomier

We have lots of family nights. They're not usually "official" or "planned". My family is just a very close-knit and together kind of family. We always eat dinner together. Sometimes one of us will decide to watch a movie and the rest of us will just join in on the fun. It's been awhile since we've played games together, but we have done that in the past.

Me and my family have dinner together every night, we sit around the table and discuss our days and events that recently happened etc. We will take turns cooking dinner. We also try and reserve one day a week to have a board game night, where we play scrabble, pictionary, cranium or some other game. We have a lot of fun doing this and enjoy each others company.
