Edit button after status is posted.

Don't you think there should be an edit button after you post a status, because the best you can do it delete what you posted and re-post it, but if a friend already commented on it his comment is lost. I think there needs to be one, what do you guys think.

I agree with this. It would allow the user to adjust the content however we like it. And as you said, it would prevent the possibility of offending a friend by deleting a post they have just commented on.

I wouldn't worry about it so much. A status message is not suposed to be perfect. And, if it's been up long enough for someone to comment, then don't you think that would be a little late to edit it? What would the point be? Why not just post a new "corrected" status message? That seems to be very simple to me.

Yes! I wish there was an edit button :( When I'm extra excited about stuff I tend to typo a lot, so an edit button would be very helpful.
